They told me they would sale the car with me having taxes included in my total - as you would in any state. Come to find out I was totally lied to. They ended up charging me the Georgia taxes which made me have an extra charge of over a thousand dollars which I found out weeks later. I was told all I wanted to hear and wouldn't recommend such a bad dealership. The typical do anything for a sale type of people. After they looked up the wrong state tax and told me what it was the owner wouldn't make the correction to the worker's mistake. Totally unprofessional and ridiculous. Go somewhere else. More

I was interested in a maroon 2008 Mazda CX7 Grand I was interested in a maroon 2008 Mazda CX7 Grand Touring. I was in contact with Ken Flanagan (interenet sales)as I was buying the vehicle out of I was interested in a maroon 2008 Mazda CX7 Grand Touring. I was in contact with Ken Flanagan (interenet sales)as I was buying the vehicle out of town. As we completed the deal, I inquired about the condition of the vehicle. Being a 2008, I assumed that it would be in good condition. None the less, before I traveled 300+ miles to get the vehicle, I asked about the condition (any dents, dings, scratches). I was informed that it had a small dent in the drivers side door, smaller than a dime and that the back headrest was missing. I told the salesman (Ken) to check the vehicle thoroughly for I was driving from Kentucky, about 4.5 hours......He still informed me of the 1 small dent in the drivers door that looked like a door ding. We struck the deal and the next day I was on my way on 1/26/2012. When I finally arrived at the dealership, I parked about 80 yards away from the vehicle. As I walked toward the vehicle, I could immediately see the dent in the drivers side door (that looked like it had been shot with a BB gun). Now a little about me - I'm 43 years old and have purchased several vehicles in my time. At the time, I owned 5 vehicles and a travel trailer. Being an avid hotrod enthusiast and corvette owner, I take pride in my vehicles and keep them in great mechanical condition, as well as apearance. I have bought several vehicles out of state before with no issues. I was thinking a 3 year old vehicle should be well maintained in appearance, boy was I surprised... I could live with the one BB dent in the door (that I was told about) and probably would have got it fixed, but in furthur examination of the vehicle - I was never told about the massive scratches in both bumpers, the 2 true large door dings on the passenger side door, the three dents in the roof, and the faded paint on the drivers side that looked like someone with in-experience tried to buff the drivers side paint and faded the clearcoat. And just an FYI, next time you try to detail a car before a customer comes - get the grit out of the tan leather seats. Thats what I saw in about 5 minutes of inspection - their could be more things wrong but I was so irritated , I left without even driving the vehicle and with no purchase. Anyway - I drove 10 hours (down and back) that day and did not buy the vehicle. I feel like this salesman mis-represented the vehicle to me or he has a great lack of knowledge or experience - but I think, if your are an internet manager, you have probably been in the business for a while and should have been able to represent the vehicle in a truthful manner before I traveled that far. I did buy a vehicle that day from Twin City Mazda in Knoxville, TN. $500 more in price but the vehicle looked brand new and it was a 2008 Mazda CX7 with about 6000 less miles. I would recommend NOT to do business with this dealership as I will never in the future. I feel that a dealership must take some ownership in the individuals they place on their sales staff (especially if they have been placed into management by the dealership). This sales person is either not qualified to be in the sales management position or he is not an honest person. None the less, if you do business with Thornton Road Hyundia, be very cautious of an Internet salesman named Ken...... More

01-22-2012 My experience with Thornton Road Hyundai was great. Everyone I met at the dealership was very helpful and friendly.
