I went there to get a used car and put a deposit down on one BEFORE I read the reviews on them. They have a mandatory VIN etching fee, non negotiable $198 and a conveyance fee $598. You have to put a NON one BEFORE I read the reviews on them. They have a mandatory VIN etching fee, non negotiable $198 and a conveyance fee $598. You have to put a NON REFUNDABLE $1,000 deposit down on the car. Needless to say I learned a $1,000 lesson on how not to purchase a used vehicle. The one I settled on had 3 owners before it went to auction and 2 of the owners only had the car a month or two so there has to be something wrong with it. The car ended up at an auction where ABW picked it up. I was told the last owners were dealers that is why it went through 3 owners, the carfax shows all 3 owners had the car titled and registered as personal and were issued plates. The ONLY acceptable response from them at this time would be them offering to give me back my deposit, not to pick out another one of their cars. They claim to go through the cars and fix anything wrong with them yet there are literally 1,000's of reviews claiming the opposite. Many reviews are from people with cars that no longer run shortly after purchasing them AS IS. More
Sell lemons. The cars that do work, they are not actually capable of servicing and their extended warranty is not real. I’m pretty sure they don’t even have a legitimate service department. So dishonest. Yo capable of servicing and their extended warranty is not real. I’m pretty sure they don’t even have a legitimate service department. So dishonest. You might get lucky with a car which is where some positive reviews come from but they do nothing to ensure the car you drive off the lot is safe or will last. Pay the extra money and finance with a legitimate dealership. I promise you it’s worth it. More
They didn't want to sell me a car. Truly! I know it sounds ridiculous, but I was looking for a Volkswagen Tiguan, which is not a popular car. I decided to make the 1.5 hour trip because they had 5 of t sounds ridiculous, but I was looking for a Volkswagen Tiguan, which is not a popular car. I decided to make the 1.5 hour trip because they had 5 of these in stock. I was told they "just got in a new one today". I was game to check it out. After all, the best cars go quickly, right? So this would be my chance to beat all other buyers. After waiting about 20 minutes or so, the car was out front and ready for a test drive. The car drove nice. The issues were cosmetic: The rear bumper flange was missing, one of the front bumpers was half off, the other was scuffed, the drivers door handle was missing a piece, and there was rust and chipped paint running above the windshield. They said they could take care of most of it, but it would cost around $700.00. At this price, the car wasn't worth it to me. So I asked about the car that I came to see. I was told that "the car I drove was better," from the rookie salesman. So they didn't let me drive the car I came to see!!! An hour and a half. Pouring rain. Naturally, I should have been more attentive to THEIR needs, and asked THEM what car would be best for me to buy, right? I asked for his card. He told ME that if I left, I wouldn't be buying that car. I asked how long he would be there, and he said: "To tell you the truth, I am looking to leave soon". Glad he decided to tell me the ONE truth he could part with. That was helpful. Truly bizarre. I had hoped to see a car, but wasn't allowed to. I had hoped to purchase, but my needs didn't meet theirs. To any customer entering that building, please be VERY service-oriented. Ask the salesperson what you can do FOR THEM. Be sure to ask them if you are inconveniencing them IN ANY WAY. You are chum, and are treated as such. Do not go to this place looking to purchase a car for yourself, while finding something to meet YOUR needs. That mindset is for completely self-centered people, and if you want to fulfill THAT need, really... go elsewhere. Truly bizarre. They wouldn't show me the car I came to see. More

I knew when we had gone to A Better Way back in 2020 that something was fishy when we first went in. We walked out pretty quickly, but when we had an unexpected and immediate need this year for a car, we wen something was fishy when we first went in. We walked out pretty quickly, but when we had an unexpected and immediate need this year for a car, we went back. We ended up buying a Kia only two months ago. The finance guy distracted my husband with a lot of stupid talk while not disclosing several fees he could have opted out of, to the tune of over $2k. We asked to take it to our mechanic (as Carite let us do), but they said no. That should have been my first clue. During the test drive, we remarked on some rust on the wheel, which the young lady called "lot rot," but ended up being an immediate need to replace both rear rotors AND seized calipers. We then stalled at the side of the road yesterday, thinking maybe it was the alternator. It turned out to be the engine—totally blown. It's a used engine which was not disclosed on the carfax report. We have the choice to replace the engine for $6k or junk the car. That's it. But we still OWE $7k on the car. They completely misrepresented the car as having been "fully inspected", and sold us a total lemon. AVOID THESE SCHEISSTERS AT ALL COSTS. More
Quite possibly the most crooked and slimy dealership in existence. Please, show ANYWHERE else than this place. These cars are the cars that no one wants. Truly. "Hey, that check engine light is on, will existence. Please, show ANYWHERE else than this place. These cars are the cars that no one wants. Truly. "Hey, that check engine light is on, will you be fixing that?" "Nah, that doesn't mean anything..." "CarFax shows the car had a major accident with airbags deployed and it had to be towed!" "That was a minor fender bender" "Can I have my mechanic look at the car before I buy it?" "Sure, but you'll need to leave a non-refundable $1000 deposit." "What are the $1800 in additional fees for? "Processing fee, document fee, scammer fee, and as much profit as we can make fee." Unreal. Crooks. Run, Forest, Run! More
A Better Way does a VERY poor job supporting their customers when they have an issue... After finally connecting with a sales associate, we reviewed the car and discussed the work to be performed customers when they have an issue... After finally connecting with a sales associate, we reviewed the car and discussed the work to be performed before purchase, including replacing a cracked windshield. One week later I returned to purchase the vehicle, the windshield was replaced, and I brought it home. On the way home the rear-view mirror fell from the windshield. When I inspected the mirror I also noticed the rain and automatic headlights sensor was damaged. I called my sales associate for assistance but was redirected to the Service department. When I called Service, they took down my name and phone number to call me back. One week later, after not receiving a callback, I called Service and left a message once again explaining what had happened and asking them to help resolve the issue. Another week later I am now contacting my sales associate for help because I can not get in touch with Service. He told me he went home early for the day (because he has poison ivy!!?) and asked I try calling Service again. After calling Service during normal business hours the phone rang for several minutes and I was disconnected. Infuriating!!! When buying a car from A Better Way do expect them to be disorganized. You will wait a long time before getting in contact with a sales associate and when you do it will be a hit-or-miss experience. There may be problems with the vehicle and A Better Way will not help you to resolve them. You are on your own. I would not recommend buying a vehicle here to anyone. More

Picked up the extended warranty on my car with this Picked up the extended warranty on my car with this dealer saying it's free to service in their facility. I had multiple instances where I needed Picked up the extended warranty on my car with this dealer saying it's free to service in their facility. I had multiple instances where I needed this warranty used, but their service department does not pick up the phone or return messages. I went in, and they said it'll be 6 months to service the car, and to try again then. Clearly they don't have the proper amount of mechanics for the amount of work needed, and the customer service is awful! [UPDATE] Currently in a 1 month limbo with this company. The transmission completely failed on my vehicle, and my extended warranty that I purchased is a mere 400 miles past the warranty. While I realize they're under no obligation, I have read many accounts of dealers seeking a "Good Faith" agreement with the warranty company where up to half of the cost has been covered. At this point, I would settle for a sense of urgency in the customer service department over even compensation. Lost my job a few months ago due to the reemergence of Covid, and subsequent slowing of work so I am in literal dire straits. Looking for some compassion out of Better Way Wholesale Autos, but at this point I would have to say their customer service ends once the sale has transpired. More
