I bought the car on Monday, and I made a big mistake, i did not check the tires too closely. I was reasured since they told me I had a 60-day guarantee. I went to a mecanic (a friend who wouldn't want to sell me anything useless), and he immediately told me I needed new front tires and a tire alignment. So I called them, they told me to come so that they could check. The same salessman told me that i had nothing to worry about and that they were good and "road legal for some time.". I insisted quite a bit, and then, they told me to come back in 10 days so that the mecanic can check the car but that they couldn't guarantee to cover the cost if they deem it road legal. There is no way that makes 30+ miles. Waste my day so that they will fight with me to not cover the cost. I tried to call them and ask them if I could send pictures to the mechanic to determine it via mail, and they were adamant, no can do. The cars are a good price, some in an ok condition but I highly adice to carefully check the car before buying it and to get a 2nd opinion right after you buy the car from another mechanic. Be prepared to fight to get them to cover the cost included in the guarantee. It's a shame because I had a mostly good experience with them up until that point. Tldr : Tires are 5 years old, original tires of the car, 58 000 miles, cracks everywhere, thread really thin, and according A Better Way, completely ok. More
This is my third car I buy from Better Way, granted , these are used cars as such there are issues that need to be addressed. One characteristic that makes me return is that everyone is genuinely trying these are used cars as such there are issues that need to be addressed. There are problems, there are solutions and then there is customer service, I venture to say that despite the negative feedback we be hear, their customer service is up to the challenges, I will be back to BW whenever I’m in the market for another car. We started the purchase of our vehicle from them back in August 2023. They sat on our deposit for 8 weeks before they finally had the car ready to go. Claiming lie after lie that parts were needed and then it was gonna be ready and something else was wrong and they needed more parts. After driving the car for a week numerous warning lights began coming on and when we brought the car to a legitimate mechanic we found that they actually cut wires and electrical taped some together to basically sell the car without any warning lights coming on. Our mechanic can’t even diagnose the problem with the vehicle that keeps stalling without us paying $600 just to fix the wiring and then any other work that needs to be done on top of this. As follows is the report from the mechanic- Original Request Engine Diagnostic. Customer States Vehicle Hesitates And Has Loss Of Power. Concern Verified. Scanned Vehicle For Faults And Found Multiple Faults For Camshaft Sensors On Intake And Exhaust Side, As Well As Throttle Body Codes. Upon Visual Inspection Found Camshaft Sensor Connector On Intake Side To Have Damaged And Spread Pins. Additionally Camshaft Sensor Harness On Exhaust Side Has Been Damaged Exposing Bear Wires Which Were Touching Each Other And Creating A Short Circuit Condition. Furthermore Throttle Body Wire Harness Had Also Been Damaged And Poorly Repaired. Recommend Replacing Both Camshaft Sensor Connectors As Well Throttle Body Connector And Retest. DO NOT PURCHASE A CAR FROM THEM. WE HAVE AN ATTORNEY INVOLVED AND WILL BE FILING A LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM AS WELL AS WORKING WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL TO PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS. Drive 45 minutes, found a nice office area with friendly staff. However, they can’t help you unless you know what car you plan to buy. The guy I spoke to said, “we do things differently here. You tell me what car you want, I’ll go get it, and you can see it before you buy it”. I asked about several cars, and he told me they couldn’t accommodate me looking at multiple cars. I asked about a few specific cars from the website. Most were sold, a couple undergoing repairs, and despite looking for 2 cars, left without seeing anything. Big waste of time. They post great prices online, but seems like a bait and switch situation more than anything. Not the way to do business. How does one shop for cars you can’t see? No sense of customer service, and the whole business model seems very sketchy. More
I should have paid heed to all of the prior negative reviews for this dealer. I sent 4 info regarding 1 particular Jeep and received an automated response reach time stating the car was available and reviews for this dealer. After waiting 2 days I called and was told the car was no longer available. For the next 3 weeks the car was still listed and again I requested info to see if it was still available. They answered my email,said it was still there and someone woukd call. It's now been 1 month, no one still has called and the Jeep is still listed. I would be afraid to buy anything from such unprofessional and disrespectful dealers. More
