Love doing business with A-1 Toyota Making service appointment is so easy. Called before going because my glove compartment broke and wanted to be sure they could fix it that day. Service representative said that I should get car in earlier than my appointment because I was at the 20,000 mile mark and he was able to give me an appointment 2 weeks early. Very friendly, accommodating and very professional employees. In fact, I told service rep about the glove compartment and he was able to fix it right at that point. He also came to me while waiting for service and showed me a filter that needed to be replaced because it was dirty and to get my consent to replace it. Service here is always done correctly the first time and never have to wait longer than the time they tell me. Never have to worry when my car is in A-1 Toyota's hands! More

Over the last week or so I noticed a rattle coming from my door panel when the window was down I brought this to the attention of the service team ....kevin Wheeler Jr. , Mike Quefeld and Dan Wheeler went above and beyond !!! to take apart the whole door panel to to determine the root cause and fix the problem.... In my past experience with other dealerships they would normally have me come back and make another appointment but Not A-1...... Right after finishing the 5000 mile check up they proceeded to fix the window problem. I am extremely happy with the service that I have been receiving. Thank you!! More

Above and beyond!! Service director mike Q went above and beyond once again. My battery had died while I was out of town. He sent someone to my home, jumped the car, took it to the shop installed a new battery and checked out all systems before returning it to my home. It was up and running before I got home. Don't know of many who provide such great customer care in this state. That's true customer service! More
Our Car repair experience My son is a college student in New Haven. He took the 2005 Toyota Camry (engine size 2.4, 74,000 miles) to this dealership because the car vibrates a My son is a college student in New Haven. He took the 2005 Toyota Camry (engine size 2.4, 74,000 miles) to this dealership because the car vibrates a little when driving above 60mph. The shop performed a multi point inspection and found that the root cause of the vibration was due to a bent rim. He was also told of several other problems and was given an estimate of over $3000 (70% is labor). The estimate was shown to him on a sheet of paper and no written itemized estimate was given to him. He naively agreed to the repair. When I learned of this matter the next morning, I asked him to call the shop right away to cancel the job. Unfortunately, the shop told him that the job was done already when he called. There was only 7.5 hours between the time that the car could be worked on and when the car was made available. But the invoice shows that 22.4 hours was charged. The largest item was the oil leak fix. This job alone clocked 18 hours. I consulted with a seasoned car expert who's been in the repair business for years. According to him, the standard amount of hours charged for an oil leak fix for this car model with this engine size is 7 hours. If the car was still under warranty, the manufacturer only pays 4.7 hours. I called the service manager and tried to get some insights as to why they would charge 18 hours. The answer is that they opted for doing a cleaner job and so it's more labor intensive. They not only removed the timing cover as usually is done, they also removed the subframe and so had to re-align the gear and the timing chain. He also told me that 2005 Toyota Camry is known for the oil leak problem at low mileage. There's no way for us to confirm if they did what they claimed that they did. My only question is whether they still would have opted for using this cleaner method if the car was still under warranty. The only thing that we are certain about is that our wallets got cleaned very well. More

This was my first stop in buying my first brand new car. The experience was smooth and no hassle whatsoever. A year later I still go for my checkups and it's like the first time all over again. The staff is phenomenal there!! They've always been welcoming with bright smiles and very engaging in conversations. They're always ensuring that I was comfortable even if your just waiting for an oil change. There is no other dealership like A-1 Toyota. I have and will continue to recommend this place to any and everyone. More

My daughter was then sucessful in bring my car to Florida without incident. I have been a great fan of Toyota and have owned a 2001, 2004 and 2013 Toyota Prius with great satisfaction for the vehicle as well as Toyota service Once again Toyota has my complete endorsement! I would like to thank the A-1 service department for saving my vacation on Saturday July 27th. Me and my daughter were driving our Land Cruiser from Boston to Florida when we had a major failure on the saving my vacation on Saturday July 27th. Me and my daughter were driving our Land Cruiser from Boston to Florida when we had a major failure on the Merritt Pkwy. We limped the car into A-1 hoping the problem wasn’t as big as it seemed. Your Service People were fast, efficient, understood our problem and our needs. They showed us where to get lunch, kept us up to date with the problems and how the fixing of it was being handled. In 3 hours the car was repaired into working condition even though the fix was an abnormal problem and fix. The pricing was reasonable as I was not attacked for money as I was expecting to be driving a Land Cruiser into an unknown dealer. All this on a Saturday afternoon in a crowded service department. Please pass my thanks to your service department and I would like to note to everyone out there that A-1 Toyota proves why I buy Toyota products and what it means to provide service to the customer, even if they know they will not be a repeat customer.
