I never thought buying a car coul be fun! We had been searching for MONTHS for the perfect car, and we finally found it on the Barry Sanders Honda website. We made an appointment to test drive the car, but when we got there, the person we had made the appointment with was busy with another customer, so we were directed to a gentleman by the name of Blake Munoz. This guy was the best. He was about our age, so we were all very comfortable talking honestly, and frankly, goofing around. We were serious about buying the car, but the whole experience felt like more like hanging out with a cool guy, talking about cars, rather than negotiating with a dealer. We did an excellent test drive, he encouraged us to play with all the buttons, knobs, and switches, and to take a LONG test drive around the lake a few times. He was very knowledgeable about our car, as well as cars in general, and was very enthusiastic about the mechanical aspect, which really impressed my boyfriend and made me more confident about the car I wanted to buy. When we went back to the dealership to negotiate the prices, all business was handled under the influence of helium from balloons that had been strung up around the dealership. Yes, helium. So the purchase was made while doing our best Alvin and the Chipmunk impressions. But we still got a GREAT deal! We went back and fourth about pricing, but Blake kept reassuring us that he was "working for us." While that's probably a pretty standard car dealer phrase, he still got us exactly the price we had been planning on paying. I've never spent so much money at one time, but Blake Munoz made it a fantastic experience and it was well worth the drive to Stillwater. All the employees were extremely friendly and they seemed like they genuinely cared if we were having a good experience, but Blake was the one who really made the day worth while. More

They were obviously not interested in helping me find a good deal - I chose a financing option with one of their banks, but I wanted to do my own research over the weekend, so they assured me they would give me the weekend to look around before they sent it off. I called Monday and my financing guy was gone...I called Tuesday and they had sent the paperwork down on Saturday. Now I'm in a very complicated situation all thanks to Patrick from financing and Barry Sanders Honda. Thanks alot To sum up: buy your car from them, but don't count on them to find you the best financing options, even if you come prepared. More

Car keys The salesman Rob Hiserman was great but I had to call several times to get the extra car key from Brooks who promised to mail it to me. My sister, who lives in Stillwater, had to go 2 weeks later to pick it up. Plus there was no valet key. I don't know what the problem was but you would think they wouldn't want to upset a customer just over a set of keys. This is the 6th Honda I've bought in the past 28 years. I am a Honda person, or was. I would recommend this dealership with the stipulation to be sure to request the keys before you buy. More
