I wish #1 Cochran were the regional baseline for a good quality car purchase experience rather than the exception. #1 Cochran has the largest Subaru sales volume in SW Pennsylvania, which allows them to ru quality car purchase experience rather than the exception. #1 Cochran has the largest Subaru sales volume in SW Pennsylvania, which allows them to run sales more efficiently and more professionally than other dealers with whom I inquired (though inventory aside, some dealers in the area were less than enthusiastic salespersons, seemed to lack transparency in discussing pricing and options, or were downright condescending to my female partner who was making the purchase with me). The #1 Cochran inventory is diverse for the region (especially with respect to Outbacks), and it is well coordinated with the Subaru website. These facts made it much easier to know whether the desired vehicle with the desired options would be present for purchase off the lot. Customer service was very prompt, and the dealer has maintained excellent communication since the purchase. A minor complaint on quality of work refers to the vehicle not being prepared at the time of the signing with an additional bumper cover that I had requested. I had to wait for the shop to install the bumper cover, and it appears that it was not glued as uniformly as it might have been. Generally, I would not think to offer a "better-than-okay" friendliness rating, except that when compared to other dealers in SW Pennsylvania, the staff at #Cochran are clearly more accommodating and straightforward. I very much appreciated dealing with a female sales consultant who was not as condescending when compared with other salespersons within the dealership and especially when compared with salespersons in other regional dealerships. Additionally,the office did well in promptly preparing all the paperwork (which required extra steps because the vehicle was being transferred to an out-of-state address). Moreover, the dealer allowed me to hold the vehicle on the lot with a $1000 deposit (this was done because unique circumstances having to do with the time limits of a temporary transfer registration required that I wait two weeks before fully purchasing the vehicle). Given the value of the vehicle and its features, the final price I paid is, I suspect, as good as any general customer could expect to get in SW Pennsylvania. The dealer was willing to offer employee pricing and a reduced price for an extended 5-year bumper-to-bumper warranty, and they were willing to knock equal amounts off the MSRP for similar model vehicles (though this was only done when I asked why the offered reductions were not equivalent on the two vehicles we were considering). The initial offer made on my trade was fully 1/4 below the fair condition price quoted on BlueBook, but the dealer sustained my firm counter offer requesting the full dealer fair-price value. Overall, my experience purchasing the vehicle was quite good and I would very much consider purchasing from #Cochran again, so long as quality inventory information, professional customer attention and service, and similar or better price reduction offers could be made again. It was my first time buying a car in over 12 years, didnt have to drive since i lived in a metropolitian city. I checked out 3 other subaru dealers and # 1 cochran blew them all out of the water. Their service was impecable, everyone from the internet sales department, to the secratary, GM and Sales were the nicest, honest, no hassle dealership i have ever worked with. T they made buying a car almost fun, like i would do it again tommorow if it was that easy everyday. Harry went out of his way to accomidate us, they negotiated and worked with our budget, they weren't pushy, and went above and beyond all expectations. If you are buying a subaru beleive me they are the best around. Dont even waste your time or gas going to the other dealerships around, trust me you wont have a better deal or service than working with Harry at # 1 Cochran. Thanks Harry! Looking at three cars, Kia sportage, Nissan Rogue, and Subaru Outback. Ed got us comparison prices from the Cochran family of dealers (was in line with what other dealers were offering with out the BS th Subaru Outback. MSRP - discount = price (other dealers would just give us out monthly payment without telling us what were paying ofr the car. Quite refreshing. The outback was just delivered that day and was expressed through detail and prep to get us the car that that night. Everyone was great. More
