I have less than perfect credit and had a hard time finding a car that fit my needs and what I wanted until I came to Boardman Nissan! Shawntil and the Sales manager Big John went ABOVE AND BEYOND to m finding a car that fit my needs and what I wanted until I came to Boardman Nissan! Shawntil and the Sales manager Big John went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure I got what wanted. Shawntil listened to my needs, wasn't at all pushy and explained everything to me. Poor Customer Service The service department is not easy to work with. I brought my vehicle in for an issue that I knew the exact cause for, and they wanted to charge a “di The service department is not easy to work with. I brought my vehicle in for an issue that I knew the exact cause for, and they wanted to charge a “diagnostic fee” that was close to 100% of the repair cost, in addition to the repair cost. Most dealers will charge a lower diagnostic fee, or a higher one if the customer chooses to not follow through with the repair. I’m not sure why I should have to pay an additional $100+ fee when I articulated the exact problem and part that needed repaired. I understand if I came in with something vague like “My car is making a noise” that that would need additional diagnosis, but when I state “My brake light switch is faulty and needs replaced”, I’m not sure what additional diagnostics need to be performed. For the record, I went back home and took the brake light switch out of my other Versa, and the car began working as expected. Reordered a new OEM part for $20 and solved my own issue. Too bad, I would have been willing to pay the $150-$200 i was quoted by the service department to have it fixed. However, the extra fee was too much. I’ve had too many issues with Boardman Nissan over the years, and will no longer be doing business with them. More
