I do not recommend that you take your car to #1 Cochran Kia service for any moderately complicated service, especially anything taking longer than a day. Communication with the service department is terrib Kia service for any moderately complicated service, especially anything taking longer than a day. Communication with the service department is terrible, bordering on non-existent, with an inability to contact a service advisor or receive a call back after numerous attempts over multiple days. If your specific service advisor is unavailable, other service advisors have no ability to tell you anything about the car and will refuse to return the car to you. If you must use this service department, I encourage you to rigorously document every interaction. If you engage with their answering service, request that you be CCed on any email. My car was having 12V battery system issues, so I made an appointment a month in advance and dropped the car off for four full business days (and two Saturdays). My suspicion is that my car was not looked at at all during this time. When I called to have the car moved for immediate pickup, they quickly rushed a diagnosis that seemingly involved opening the hood (to jump the car) and then opening the fuse box where they saw a dashcam wire. At that point, they were able to bill for two hours of diagnosis with only the suggestion to unplug the dashcam and no information about if the battery needed to be replaced. My purchasing experience a year before (from Dawn Wilson) was wonderful and I recommend her specifically, but I cannot recommend the service department. More

The first indication of things going downhill was when I purchased a $25,000 used Chevy Colorado last year. No one mentioned that the vehicle had been in an accident until the paperwork was being signed. The finance person slipped a Carfax report in to be signed near the end of the process. As we all know, at that point in the several hour process, you just want to get out of there and go home. Very deceptive practice. My latest purchase was for my daughter, a 2016 Jeep Cherokee Limited. Admittedly, I purchased this as is, expecting everything to work properly as that is the sole reason for paying a higher price from a dealership. Sadly, in just over 50 days from purchase, odd electrical issues started with dash lights flickering, the stereo not turning on then turning on unexpectantly, the air conditioner attempting to blow but no air comes out then starts working again randomly, and hard starting. I contacted my sales person and was told that I would be charged $180 to run a diagnostic. What? I would be charged to have a diagnostic run on a fairly recent purchase from the dealership I've been loyal to? My sales person tells me that he went to the GM and was told that there was nothing they could do for me. He then promised to have the GM contact me. It's been over a week with me leaving voicemail messages for my sales person and I've heard nothing from him or the GM. Sadly, I won't be buying from this organization again. More

They even corrected an error that occurred in the finance office, giving me a better deal than expected due to a year end Kia Incentive. Long story short, I was charged $500 more than I should have been. I discovered the error, and informed my sales associate. I also asked him to pass along the information to his manager. Naturally, I thought the worst, and did not expect to hear back. This morning, I received a call from the general sales manager, and was informed I would receive a check in the mail for $500 plus the extra tax I paid. They could have chose to do nothing, but instead, they acted with integrity and made the situation right. I appreciate that honest approach throughout the entire process, and will choose Cochran Kia again in the future. More
The dealership lots at #1 Cochran Kia in Robinson were extremely disorganized and chaotic. Customer vehicles waiting on service were out front of the dealership and spread throughout the sales lots with extremely disorganized and chaotic. Customer vehicles waiting on service were out front of the dealership and spread throughout the sales lots with the new and used vehicles. We had to scour the lot looking for the cars that were actually for sale. The certified pre owned vehicles still under the factory warranty period were marked as is no warranty. The majority of new vehicles listed online were either sold or not even on the lot. I’m a #1 Cochran customer and I was highly embarrassed to bring my partner to a dealership I ensured was a dealer brand I valued and trusted to see such an unprofessionally run dealership. The GMC dealer on top of the hill always always looks organized and operated like #1 Cochran I’m used to seeing. Also why is the Kia dealership hidden halfway up the hill and the other used lot is unattended on the prime real estate along the road. More
Horrible experience on 6/9/23. We sold them my deceased Mom's car and they promised a check within a week made out to the estate. I've called 3 times and live in another state. Sti We sold them my deceased Mom's car and they promised a check within a week made out to the estate. I've called 3 times and live in another state. Still no check. I am about to report them to BBB or get our lawyer involved as I cannot get a clear answer on why they didn't cut us a check the same day we sold them the car. Buyer beware. More
Horrible dealership that doesn’t care about its customers. Took my car in and they said they fixed it but broke down few days later so had it towed back. The guy with an attitude said it would be a customers. Took my car in and they said they fixed it but broke down few days later so had it towed back. The guy with an attitude said it would be about 1k to fix and since it had 196k miles I told him not to fix. I called sales to have them appraise it for trade in and no one called back so went in and gave information to another guy with no call back. Now they want to charge me $525 for storage for 7 days because I missed a few service calls yet their sales who I was waiting on never called back. I will NEVER recommend or patronize this business, very bad customer service and I’ll relay to everyone that I know More
I had been calling dealerships trying to find my husband an unclaimed telluride at MSRP. Most were out of state. A representative from Cochran reached out and said there was an allocation for the model we w an unclaimed telluride at MSRP. Most were out of state. A representative from Cochran reached out and said there was an allocation for the model we wanted. I couldn’t believe it! We definitely lucked out. The entire process only took a month and a half. We didn’t feel pressured with add ons or insurance. My husband loves his vehicle and we had a pleasant experience all around. And because they didn’t charge a markup, we will return the next time we need a vehicle. More

First, I want to say the sales staff and Ryan Martin are phenomenal. Marty has been cordial, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. However, the service side seems to be completely incompetent. I bought a phenomenal. Marty has been cordial, helpful, and a pleasure to work with. However, the service side seems to be completely incompetent. I bought a car a few months ago and prepared to do my first oil change. I do them myself since they're simple. I jacked my car up and found that whoever did the last oil change tightened the oil plug so hard, it actually rounded off the edges of the bolt. I did not want to attempt to get it off, since I didn't know if it would tighten back on; however, I bought the additional vehicle service contract for coverage and I was still under the coverage of the dealership as well. Called the service department and they were absolutely no help. Didn't take my name or look me up. Just said I have to talk to my salesman. I get ahold of Marty, he speaks with his GM, and they get it set up to help me out. I schedule the work out approximately 10 days ahead of time. I arrived at 9:30 a.m. for my appointment. I did not leave until nearly 3 p.m. I was supposed to work that day after they were done. It took them 4 hours to even get my car on a lift for an appointment that we scheduled. They gave me their "availability" and I made it work. I wish that was the end of it. 4.5 hours in, they tell me they never ordered the oil filter, it'll take 30 minutes to be delivered. Seems odd since I scheduled the job ahead of time, but whatever. 4.5 hours in, 30 minutes isn't the worst thing to hear. However, 5 hours in, they tell me they didn't even order the bolt that I specifically told them over the phone to order, talked to them in the morning when I got there, and several times throughout the day. So, effectively, they took 5+ hours to do an oil change. I could've done it myself in 20 minutes. Completely unacceptable. More
