My experience with Ron Harris was great--he was patient, knowledgeable and friendly. He made my first new car buying experience easy and (if it can be) pleasurable. He even shined up the car for me as I was leaving because he thought the car should look better when I drove it off the lot. I would highly recommend Ron if you're in the market for a new (or used) car. The reason I gave my "overall experience" rating as 4 instead of 5 is this: when I went to see the man who takes care of the financing and contracts, he pressured me to extend the already fantastic warranty and to get a bunch of add-ons that I wasn't interested in (unfortunately I have forgotten his name). Even after explaining to him why I wasn't interested (I only wanted to spend x total amount; I only wanted my payments to be x amount per month; I only wanted my contract to last 60 months; I bought a Hyundai because the warranty is what it is and it comes standard, NO CHARGE with each car), he kept trying to work out the math to get me to buy SOMETHING, regardless of what it was. Finally I told him flat out to stop doing the math because I wasn't interested. He seemed miffed by that. When he finally printed up the contract he assumed I was financing with Cochran instead asking what my financing plans were. When I told him I wanted to go through my credit union unless Cochran could do better, he said, "NOW you tell me that." Isn't it his job to ask? I will give him credit for giving me a (slightly) lower interest rate, however. In all, I had a great experience save the ten minutes I spent with financing. More
Ron Harris was both very businesslike and personable. He's a great sales representative. Ron took a lot of time with my mom and me to explain the operations of the dealership and--most importantly--the He's a great sales representative. Wayne was an absolute pleasure to deal with. I came in on a Thursday, looked and test drove a couple of vehicles. Both would have worked for my needs. Wayne got back to me the next morining with the financing options on both. I added another to the mix and again, he got right back to me. I agreed to meet him on Saturday at 10:00am. I got off work a little early on Friday, so I stopped by. Wayne had already left for the day but a very nice young associate Jeff helped me out. I had a few more questions I needed answered to make my decision. Jeff did a great job as well. I came back on Sat. and we closed the deal. In all, it was a painless experience and I left with a very positive outlook on the dealership, the personnel and experience. No buyer's remorse at all. The only thing I would like to mention here is when I went to do the financing, I felt like I was really being pressured to buy an extended warranty. The finance employee tried every which way to get me to sign on to something--extending the loan period (I ONLY wanted a 5 year loan, he suggested 72 mos.), trying to get me to accept that it would only be $10 a month over what I originally wanted my payments to be, etc.--and while he was very nice about it, I didn't like being pressured. I must say this was probably the most stress free buying experience I have ever been through. Anthony was exceptional with his knowledge of the new Sonata and seemed to work very well with the sales manage experience I have ever been through.
