I told him what I wanted and he made sure I walked out with the car I wanted which I did. He made the experience of buying a car fun and also made sure before I drove off with the car that I knew everything there was to know about my new car. A GENERALLY GOOD EXPRIENCE On 4/21/17 we finalized our purchase of an Ioniq hybrid at your West Liberty Ave. location. My wife and I first looked at the car on Tuesday (4/18) af On 4/21/17 we finalized our purchase of an Ioniq hybrid at your West Liberty Ave. location. My wife and I first looked at the car on Tuesday (4/18) after reading an article in the latest Car and Driver magazine. Your salesman Ron Harris was extremely helpful in showing us the features of the car and giving us the pricing for various down payments, 4,5 or 7 year financing and evaluating our trade. He applied no "pressure" and gave us time to consider our options. He even drove the white Ioniq to your Monroeville location in exchange for the silver one that we preferred. Although we were not ready to make the purchase on Tuesday we did arrange to return on Friday to finalize our purchase. The sales manager informed us of their hours and we told him that we would be back before noon on Friday. In the meantime Ron informed me by Email of our approval and financing. We returned on Friday at 11 AM and were informed by the sales manager (Benjamin Leone) that the business manager (Josh) would not be in until 3 PM. Needless to say we were not happy and we almost decided not to purchase the vehicle. Ben did manage to get the business manager from your VW dealership across the street, but we still were unable to complete the transaction until 2 PM. Josh , the Hyundai business manager, apparently did not know when we were planning to be there, but did arrive to complete the paperwork. This entire process took 3 hours and in the last minutes we were presented with a number of "service options". We did not appreciate seeing these after we knew and were satisfied with our monthly payment and now some of these options could have added $30 to $50 to that monthly payment. We know that you advertise upfront pricing and "a clearly better customer experience", but we think that you should inform prospective buyers of these additional options at the beginning of the sales process and not at the end when they are there to sign their sales agreement and contract. I again want to express our satisfaction and praise for Ron Harris. He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and not high pressure. In fact we had purchased our 2008 Elantra from him 9 years ago at this same dealership and returned entirely because of his salesmanship. Our criticism is not with any of the employees of this dealership, but with the process of presenting the various optional "service options" so late in the process. We look forward to a number of years of enjoyment of our new car and wish you continued success in your business. We just ask that you be a little more open with presenting the additional service plan options. More
