NEVER EVER AGAIN - POOR SERVICE I have been buying cars for over 60 years; have a few "Classics", so I know cars and have dealt with hundreds of dealers. While driving down Market S I have been buying cars for over 60 years; have a few "Classics", so I know cars and have dealt with hundreds of dealers. While driving down Market St. in Boardman, Ohio I spotted a Ford F150 on the Sweeney GMC lot; stopped in, looked over the truck, asked a few questions, took it for a test drive and we cut a deal.....I told the salesman that since the truck was on the Sweeney lot and not on the dozen or so corner "Iron Merchant" lots, I felt fairly confident that it has been gone over and is a solid, no problem truck; they said they only put "quality" vehicles on their "Used Car Lot"; I trusted them simply based on the fact that Sweeney has been around for some time; I didn't worry (first mistake - dropped my guard). It was that evening when I was driving on the freeway that the truck simply "Died" - BIG YELLOW WRENCH came on the dash; I coasted to the side of the freeway; sat there, mad, then she started up and I drove it home. Next morning I took it back to Sweeney, explained what happen, they scoped it and said nothing was wrong; I told them I didn't want the truck and have had it for less then 24 hours; they refused to do anything. On the way home the gas lid flew off, the Tachometer quit working and the radio steering wheel control system stopped. It now is "bubbling up" around the fender wells; no doubt this truck was repaired (poorly) just to look good and sale. I WILL NEVER, EVER BUY FROM SWEENEY; I'll take the hit and accept my mistake (assuming they were a reliable-friendly-buy satisfaction company) but want others to know what I went through; stuck with the truck; repair after repair....STAY CLEAR OF SWEENEY.
