#1 Cochran Buick GMC Monroeville

I never go out of my way to write a review. I have written only a few in my 42 years of life however I could not avoid writing one on this occasion. When my car was totaled by another party I first thought to myself "I'm glad no one is hurt". I then thought "Well I remember needing an excuse to get a different vehicle and now I have one". Then I thought, "Ahhh man I don't want to have to deal with used car people, my blood runs hot just thinking about past dealings with people and how annoying the people can be but more especially the process. Well ok, here we go. So I jumped on the internet and was searching for 2 1/2 weeks and when I called around to talk to people it was like the movie "Ground Hog Day" and all my past experiences were coming back to haunt me. I went out to Murrysville to look at a vehicle (which the sales guy was the typical crap talk I experienced in the past),I did not like the car and left. On my way back to my home in Hampton I decided to stop at Cochran. I got out of the car, saw a couple cars on my own and walked toward the office to get "a sales guy". Kenyetta Jones (Ken) asked my permission to help me and I said yes. We drove the car, he went over it completely with me, he did NOT push me, he did NOT sway me into something I did not want, he did not tell me "Well better do something because 3 more people are coming in an hour to look at this vehicle" LOL. I got none of that. Where did this guy come from? I have NEVER EVER, I mean NEVER had such a relaxed and enjoyable experience of buying a car than I did with this dealership and with Kenyetta Jones. What a hidden gem #1 Cochran has in this guy. Kenyetta Jones made it so comfortable for me to do this deal because he allowed me to focus on the vehicle and my needs instead of me worrying in, the back of my mind, about how I'm gonna get pushed or hearing that awful "salesman pitchy crap". What a joy. As a side note: I was so taken back when we were in the car together driving it that I thought, "Does this guy really work here" or is he another customer that is gonna ask me to drop him off somewhere? lol. How refreshing Ken is to work with. I brought my family out to pick the car up last night my wife even commented that she could not believe how fast and smooth it went signing the paperwork. No pushiness, no hassles. These guys are on the ball out there. Thinking now about the whole experience, I do believe that Ken has distinguished himself COMPLETELY away from those old school "crappy sales pitches". He has cleared shown me what makes him DIFFERENT from everyone else out there and Cochran should hold its head up high that this guy is on their team. FYI: I do not know Ken or his family, I have never bought a car out a Cochran before, and I am not affiliated with them in any other way except to say that I am NOW a client for life as 11/11/2011. Salesperson, Bill, was friendly, no pushy, knowledgable of cars I looked at. He let me look at my leisure and did not rush me or try to sell me a car I did not want to look at. He was honest and did not ignore my daughter who was with me. HE waited while I completed my paperwork. He helped me take care of me rental car so I would not have to make a trip up there the next day. The manager, I think it was the manager, of the preowned car area, was adamant I leave the rental and Bill take care of it. All salespeople were friendly and professional. Everyone was dressed professionally. There were two children there with their parents who were purchasing a car and the staff ws patient with them and even found things to entertain them! More

It was a pleasurable experience dealing with Loran Hickton and the rest of the staff that day. We were impressed with Loran's level of professionalism, honesty, and knowledge. Although we caught him late in the afternoon on a Saturday, had to test drive a couple of vehicles, and needed to work through some questions to determine which vehicle, if any, would meet our needs, he was patient during the entire process, even though we finished up far past the closing time. He was knowledgable about the other car(s) we were considering as well, so this helped in our decision as we compared features and the pros and cons of each. More
