After researching Subaru vehicles for months, I finally purchased a 2010 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport yesterday. #1 Cochran was the 6th dealership I visited. I was considering purchases at two of the other places until I checked out #1 Cochran. From the initial emails and phone calls exchanged through the final handshake, it was nothing short of the best car buying experience I could have imagined. Every person made me feel comfortable, especially salesman Jim Powers. Jim was upfront about everything, put zero pressure on me, and was accommodating. A fresh change of pace from the other dealerships out there. At the end of the day I got a great deal on a quality vehicle. The price was exactly within the range of fair market value, so the negotiation was really not necessary (though they did come down some on the price). Completely worth my drive of an hour and a half. Anyone out there considering the vehicles that they sell at #1 Cochran should definitely make the trip. I imagine the rest of the staff is as friendly and considerate as the people I dealt with, but I'd suggest talking to Jim Powers specifically. He seemed like a genuine guy, which, unfortunately, seems to be the exception and not the rule when it comes to salesmen. The Drop off and pick up were convenient. Got an ATS loaner, so that made for a pretty sweet experience. Getting the loaner and returning it were uneventful (which is how it should be.) Of the three people I mentioned above they all went above and beyond meeting my expectations for being a first time buyer at your dealership. Especially Shawn Smail my salesperson he couldn't have done above and beyond meeting my expectations for being a first time buyer at your dealership. He was open and forthcoming with any information that I asked for as we'll as being readily available to take my phone calls even when it was his day off!!!!!!!!! Wow you can't ask for much more than that for someone that wants to gain your business trust and confidence can you? Older people are very loyal I had been with the same dealer for over 25 years to get me to change I think it is fairly obvious that a great job was done by all.!!!!!!!! More

My visits to #1Cochran service department have always been very satisfying. It begins with the always friendly greeting and smile from James Thomas. Took our '09 Vue in for a scheduled appointment for some minor issues. 1) Have the TPMS checked regarding the front tires. 2) Reinstall a trim piece on the passenger side sun visor. Car was taken in at the appointed time.After a short while, service advisor stated that vehicle was also due for inspection/emissions test. Had that done as well. Issues were cleared, inspection/emissions done and on our way.Very happy. More
