I decided to look at a suv when I brought my truck in for an inspection two weeks ago. (my wife and I did not receive a survey for that, because We have never gotten to rate james Thomas). James not only did an excellent job servicing my truck, but sold me on buying an suv. Thus, I started to look while my truck was getting inspected and met Dave. I already knew what my wife and I wanted and relayed that information to Dave. He took time to let me test drive both vehicles when I told him that I wasnot going to be able to buy that day. The best thing about both guys is that neither one was pushy and did not tell you what you need. I must say that is what I have always liked about the monroeville dealership. I called Dave back (which I liked because he was the only sales rep that communicated with me out of the three others that we worked with ( competitors). He set a side an appointment, had vehicles ready, and explained features to my wife and I. We decided on the Enclave and here is another great feature about your company. Dave came over with a price and it only took him one trip over to his manager. I always hear stories about the constant battle over negotiations with sales reps and managers. This our families secon purchase and we have had 2 minute talks about pricing. You can't beat that. After researching Subaru vehicles for months, I finally purchased a 2010 Subaru Impreza Outback Sport yesterday. #1 Cochran was the 6th dealership I visited. I was considering purchases at two of the other places until I checked out #1 Cochran. From the initial emails and phone calls exchanged through the final handshake, it was nothing short of the best car buying experience I could have imagined. Every person made me feel comfortable, especially salesman Jim Powers. Jim was upfront about everything, put zero pressure on me, and was accommodating. A fresh change of pace from the other dealerships out there. At the end of the day I got a great deal on a quality vehicle. The price was exactly within the range of fair market value, so the negotiation was really not necessary (though they did come down some on the price). Completely worth my drive of an hour and a half. Anyone out there considering the vehicles that they sell at #1 Cochran should definitely make the trip. I imagine the rest of the staff is as friendly and considerate as the people I dealt with, but I'd suggest talking to Jim Powers specifically. He seemed like a genuine guy, which, unfortunately, seems to be the exception and not the rule when it comes to salesmen. I know i'm not going to need a new car for a while, but when I do I know exactly where I'll go... #1 Cochran in Monroeville. More
