Always great service. I only use Kinsel's service department. They always set me up with the same service writer Leanda and she's awesome! I will only bring my car to Kinsel because of the level of service they provide. I haven't found that at any other dealership in this area.
I wish that I could say something positive about this dealership, but in all honesty I can’t! My car buying experience at Kinsel Ford was a horrible one! I was lied to, manipulated, and deceived by someone that I had hoped I could trust in my car buying experience! In fact the most positive thing I can say here is that my review is an honest one! I would not wish the terrible experience that I had with this dealership on anyone else!!!
Worst oil change…had an appointment took 5 hours…and I asked to check on my car said I could take it out if i wanted too…will take to another ford/mazda.
Crooks! Charged $1150 for repairs that didn’t fix the car, offered me $250 for the car since it wasn’t running and never paid the $250. Accepted the offer because I live 100 miles away and car was towed in after a large metal piece of road debris came thru the oil pan in a construction zone with concrete barriers on the side. I was later told that any time a car runs without oil it is common for the engine to seize. They told me the repair should fix the car, unless they found something else, but didn’t tell me the ‘something else’ was that I might need a new engine.
This Should Not Be That Hard! I have had two minor services at this dealer: It is frustrating that Ford dealers constantly fail to properly set tire pressures and re-train TPMS sensors when rotating tires. It is even more frustrating when you specifically remind them and they blow it off. I have come to expect that I will have to fix this myself after paying for "The Works". For the uninitiated: Training the sensors tells the body control module where the particular sensor is located on the vehicle, so if the tire pressure on the front and rear axle is the same the result of not re-training the sensors is that the information center will display the pressure on the incorrect wheel position (assuming the information center is capable). This gets more complicated if the tire pressures are not the same because when the tires that specify a higher pressure are moved to the other axle and the pressure set the the lower specified pressure, the body control module thinks the tire is low, but does not immediately turn the warning on. The first service I was told "those retrain themself" (Hogwash, not once in 80,000 miles have they done that.) That technician at least managed to set the tire pressure properly, but it doesn't matter because in order train the sensors you must let a significant amount of air out. The second service the rear tires which are significantly higher in pressure were put on the front and the TPMS sensors were not re-trained. When this is done it is apparent in the way the vehicle steers so I went back. The technician looked at me like I asked for unicorn tears when I explained what was needed, I said and I quote "You have to re-train the sensors after setting the tire pressures or it is going to think the rear tires are low and turn the Low Tire Warning on in a few miles" guess what? If you guessed they were not re-trained and the Low Tire Warning came on in a few miles you would be right. It should also be mentioned that they tried to sell a coolant flush even though the vehicle had a new radiator and coolant within 5000 miles. The first technician (Cody) was very personable and was the only person who apologized for the inconveniences and long wait time.
Its bad when you bring your truck in for a Recall that you are having problems with and they do the wrong Recall and your still having problems with it. You bring it back to them with the same recall paper you showed them the first time and tell them they didn't do the right recall because its not the code they read. They said I needed to make a appointment for that and I said my first appointment never ended because they didn't fix in the first time in. They said it doesn't work that way... I said I know because you didn't do the work in the first place. That's when they got very rude..... very rude... Beware if you need something fix by that department.....
