False advertising for oil changes! I scheduled an oil change with Holman Honda Dec 20, 2025. Upon arrival I asked what the cost would be and was told by the advisor it was $69.95. I showed him the advertised price of $59.95 and he said he would take off $10.00. It would then be $74.79. I again let him know and showed him a screenshot of what is advertised - $59.95. I asked how could it now be $74.79 when Florida sales tax is 6% making the total $63.55? He said there are additional fees included. I let him know that these additional fees are not in any small print on the advertised price and this was false advertising. He said he had no control over pricing. At this point I had no choice but to move forward with the oil change since I had other businesss to attend to that day. I was told it would be one and a half hours. I was a bit shocked that showing up on time for my scheduled appointment for a simple oil change would take one and a half hours. I was told this is standard procedure for an oil change. When an hour and a half from my arrival time came around, I was notified my car was ready. Again I brought up the additional cost and was told that I should not mention this in my review because it would reflect poorly on him. If there had been a polite explanation of these hidden fees I might have been a little less irritated but it was all "matter of fact" and I was not treated like a valued customer even though I had just had over $1100.00 done to my 2022 CRV earlier in the year as preventative maintenance. I don't feel like a valued customer and I don't appreciate the false advertising. If there are additional fees on an advertised oil change then put it in writing in the ad but don't hide it and don't try and convince me not to mention it in a review!
Enjoyed working with Dan. Very professional and could tell how much he loved the car industry. Any questions we had that he did not know he immediately did the research. Highly reccomend working with him. And everyone we encountered on their team was very friendly and professional.
We have been to over 18 dealerships in the past 4 months, Dan R. by far was the most easy going, knowledgeable, and understanding sales rep we have interacted with. Even in finance with Randi, there was no pressure and we felt taken care of. Their rates were competitive, and we ended up leaving with a car we love.
