I am from Wichita. I purchased a 2024 Subaru Crosstrek demo with 6600 miles in March 2024. I Worked with Bobby Brubaker at Money Subaru. We started on the internet and upon visiting the dealership a few days later reached a quick agreement on the trade difference for our vehicles. The dealership started from a realistic price and I am informed and aware of my trade value. They gave me the deal that I expected and was fair. Dealers often seem to think that women are going to be easy prey but Bobby was respectful. The Subaru dealership in Wichita, and most Wichita dealerships, have a $750 transaction fee. By contrast, Money Subaru only charges $215 transaction fee… I appreciate that. I would definitely work with Money Subaru and Bobby Brubaker again.
Service department! Told me the price for repair was $80. I told them to go ahead and repair. Christy told me she made a mistake. The total was going to be $160. Don’t give me one quote. Then change your quote. Especially after I watch you scan the part! Ask the service guy on labor! I wasn’t born yesterday! Don’t take advantage of females like that! I already didn’t trust service departments! Welp! My trust was broken more!
If you want to pay more for a new Subaru than you need to, I'd recommend Money Motor. I tried to give them our business based on a referral, but they didn't want to earn it. If you have money to burn and still want to buy from them, I would not recommend Hunter Campbell or Bonnie Garman. Hunter, even after I informed him that I was a former seven-plus-year car salesperson, still tried to play games that I am so familiar with, and prided myself on not playing. He wouldn't even show me the window sticker on a quoted vehicle. Bonnie, once she figured out that I was shopping them against other dealerships, lost all interest in helping. I never once received a phone call from her, even though she had my number from the person who referred me. She did text a few times, after I reached out to her. After informing her of the best offer from McCarthy Subaru, she text me back with an offer that was more than $2800 dollars worse than McCarthy Subaru. To make a long story, less long, I went with McCarthy. They didn't make me play games to get their best offer and saved me $60.00 a month vs. Money's quote. Not only did Money lose my vehicle purchase business, I won't have my new Subaru Outback Touring serviced with them either. I will time the service to coincide with trips to Kansas City, when I'm driving by Lawrence.
I would highly recommend Tim Tribble at Money Subaru in Salina to assist you in finding the right vehicle for you. Tim just seems to put his customers interests and needs first.
Hubby and I were driving through and stopped by Money just to window shop as we're not ready to buy yet. Tim Tribble saw us and talked to us some, asked about the WRX I currently have, gave our dog we had with us a toy, AND didn't try to pressure us into anything at all. Didn't pressure us to drive, didn't try and make us run numbers when we weren't ready. I'd have to say I've been very pleased with the atmosphere at Money as well as the employees. If/when we are ready to buy another vehicle, we will be visiting Tim!
Tim Tribble was fantastic! I just bought my first Subaru Outback Limited XT. It was love at first sight! Tim was pleasure to work with. Highly knowledgable. Overall, my experience at the Subaru dealership in Salina was wonderful.
