What Others Say
Unfortunately, since purchasing my new 2025 F150 in April of this year, I’ve not had much good luck with this dealership. From the time I bought it, to three service appointments later.
Not even 72 hours after taking the truck home I got a warning that says “service vehicle soon”. I texted my salesperson who stated that he wasn’t working that day, so I should reach out to the service department and schedule with them. I call the service department, but there was no answer so I left a voicemail. One day went by, two days, three…I never did get that call. I sent an email on 4/16 to the GM, my salesman as well as the sales manager. No reply from any of them. The service light came and went probably 15-20 times over the course of the next few weeks.
In June, I was getting home from work and went to park my trailer. After trying to put the vehicle in park, the console shifter wouldn’t move. The dash was saying the truck is in park but the shifter is showing it’s in reverse. I get the truck towed to the dealer for service. Its diagnosed to needing to have the shifter assembly replaced, but the part is on back order for approximately 3 weeks. I understand parts being on back order so I asked if they help provide either a loaner or rental vehicle as I can’t be without a truck otherwise I’m going to lose three weeks worth of income in the middle of the busiest part of the year for landscaping…crickets. I bought a $72k+ truck and haven’t even had it for 90 days and now it’s down. To make a long story short, I ended up paying almost $1800 for a rental vehicle and Ford Corporate only reimbursed for half of that, so I was out of pocket $900. Finally get the truck back and I move on with my life.
Its August and the truck is due for its 5k mile service and a computer update recall. They send a mobile tech out to do it. He’s only able to get the 5k mile service done and not the recall. So then the truck has to go back to the dealer. Yet another day down and I can’t work.
This most recent issue happened just a week ago Monday, the truck wouldn’t recognize the key fobs. Had it towed again and then service says it’s the antenna for the anti theft system. Part would be there Tuesday. Tuesday comes, no communication from the dealer. Wednesday I reach out and was told it’s not the antenna, it’s the body control module. Part had to be ordered and will be there Thursday. Thursday comes and I reach out via text at 9am to my service writer Trish. No reply for over two hours. I call at 1115am, no answer. Call again thinking my service writer may be out of office, it sends me to her voicemail. She then texts me saying that she was on a call and would call me back when done. 4 hours later, still no call so I reach out. She answers and says that they are understaffed and have that as the reason she couldn’t call back. She then tells me that the BCM they ordered is being programmed and hopeful that I’ll get the truck back on Friday.
Friday 2pm comes by and still no communication. I text Trish and she says that she’s on the phone with Enterprise and will call me shortly. She calls and tells me the BCM they ordered is the wrong one and won’t program to my truck, so they’ll have to order another and have it there Saturday. She offers me a BRONCO SPORT as a loaner…For my 2025 F150 that pulls a trailer. Ridiculous as that Bronco Sport couldn’t pull a trailer if it had two others tied to it. I ask her to have the Service Manager, Amy Parker, reach out to me as I sent her an email on Thursday and hadn’t heard back. Still waiting on that communication as well.
Saturday comes and goes, still no truck.
Monday gets here and finally I get the truck back. Upon pick up though, there happens to be an old dash insulator panel for the firewall in the bed of my truck. It didn’t belong to my vehicle, so I guess they thought it was okay to use my truck as a trash dumpster. I also found a loose bolt in the drivers door panel.
I will never buy from them again.

Outstanding Experience at Hall Ford Elizabeth City – They’ve Earned a Customer for Life! I just picked up my new F-150 Tremor (which is awesome), and once again Hall Ford Elizabeth City completely knocked it out of the park! This is now the seventh vehicle I’ve bought from them over the years, and every single time they manage to exceed my already sky-high expectations.A huge shout-out to my good friend David Shope, the General Manager, who personally made sure I got an incredible deal on my Tremor and an unbelievably strong trade-in value on my Bronco. David and his entire team treat you like family from the moment you walk in the door. From the sales team (knowledgeable, zero pressure, genuinely excited to put you in the right truck) to the finance department (fast, transparent, and full of options that actually make sense), to the management team led by David – every single person was professional, friendly, and truly passionate about what they do. They know the Ford lineup inside and out, especially the performance packages like the Tremor, and they take the time to make sure you understand every feature. What sets Hall Ford Elizabeth City apart is how fun and relaxing they make the entire process. No games, no stress, no endless back-and-forth – just a seamless, enjoyable experience from test drive to driving off the lot with a huge smile. In a world where car buying is usually a headache, these folks have turned it into something I honestly look forward to. Seven vehicles later, I can say without hesitation: I will never buy a truck anywhere else. Hall Ford Elizabeth City has my business for life. If you’re in the market for a Ford (or just want to see how car buying should be done), do yourself a favor and go see David Shope and his incredible team. You’ll thank me later! Highly, highly recommend – 10 stars if I could give them!
Thank you, Hall Ford Elizabeth City!!
Great customer service, Kerri, Beau, and Scott. I purchased my vehicle online from out of state. Kerri my sales consultant was phenomenal from the start and finished with a BANG! Beau and Scott pushed my deal through and got my paperwork to me in exceptional timing. My son loves his new ride, thank you all!
I brought my 2015 in for service while I was there I bought a 2026 ford explorer now I have two vehicles. The Walter sold me my car he was great and so was Nicole in the service department.
The Salesman was very informative on the telephone to insure the Service Department was open on Saturday and was able to discuss reserving a Hard To Find Bronco
We were told extended warranty covered replacement part for seat. We made appointment to have it replaced and then they told us they made a mistake and it wasn't covered and we owed them $326
