Arrived for 1:30 oil change appointment and was politely told it would be 2 to 2 1/2 hours. NOT! Unacceptable!
Beware of the terrible service department. They will not respect your time. I had an appointment, they didn't start working on my vehicle until after 2 1/2 hours after I was scheduled to be there. If this wasn't for an item they owed when I purchased, I wouldn't have come back from my first experience. The first time I was here they said I had to drop off my vehicle, they had me rent a car from them. I dropped it off and then they call to inform me that the part(windshield) wasn't the correct one. Really? Who doesn't check the parts they receive? So I had to pay for an extra day of rental. What a scam. Not even an apology Shayne said it wasn't her fault and that I had to eat the cost. What bad business. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
Rodland Toyota seems to understand what it takes to give the customer a good experience purchasing a vehicle in 2025. Their internet sales consultants were quick to reach out and respond to inquiries. I found the vehicle that I wanted and the pricing through SmartPath was the best in the area. When I was available to go in, I set up an appointment. I arrived and was met by Jason Hamblin who already had the car pulled up and ready for a test drive. Jason was courteous, personable and professional throughout the entire process. The dealer honored the SmartPath price and did not force any additional add-ons. Brandon in finance was also great to work with. My total time in the dealership was 2.5 hours. This was a great experience overall and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from Rodland Toyota again.
We had an absolutely horrible experience with Rodland's after buying a truck from them recently, so I want to share our experience as a warning to others. I wish I had read the other reviews before giving them my business -- a very big and expensive lesson has been learned. In July of this year, we bought a 2019 truck with very low miles. We were told it had only one previous owner, so we felt confident it was a safe purchase. Exactly 43 days after buying the truck, it wouldn't start and appeared to have an electrical issue. After towing it to our closest Toyota service center (not Rodland's), the technicians discovered that the wiring harnesses had completely melted due to a canopy and lights that had been installed on the truck before we bought it. The repair took one month and cost us over $10,000. We immediately reached out to Rodland's while the truck was still being repaired to see if they would be willing to help, considering we had owned the truck for less than a month and a half and had only put a few hundred miles on it. Their answer was no -- not one single cent. They didn't offer a loaner car while the truck was in the shop for a month, not even complimentary car washes for a year... nothing. Their response was simply that we bought the vehicle "as is" (aside from the 3-month/3,000-mile powertrain warranty), and they weren't willing to assist in any way. We weren't asking them to cover the entire $10,000 repair -- just to help with the cost of parts or cover a portion of the bill, given that the problem clearly existed before we purchased the truck. Even the Toyota dealership doing the repair was shocked that Rodland's refused to help at all. They felt so bad about how we were treated that they knocked a few hundred dollars off the bill and threw in some freebies to soften the blow. Rodland's does not care about its customers. I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere.
Refused to give part numbers for brakes when ask. Kept going round in circle to get you to come in and buy. Did not rotate tires but yet checked the box that they did. Put in wrong oil. Had to come back in to correct.
Christina of Rodland Toyota was super helpful and a pleasure to work with. She took a personal interest in our situation and worked with us to make the deal happen!
