Buyers, especially those from out of state, beware of Precision Auto Sales of NY! TLDR: Precision Auto Sales of NY initially gained my trust, but after wiring the agreed-upon amount for a vehicle, they demanded an extra $800, threatening shipment delays. Refund requests were met with counteroffers and persistent pressure. Legal action was required for the eventual refund, revealing unethical practices. Beware of this dealership. In my recent experience with Precision Auto Sales of NY, I encountered a series of alarming and unethical practices that compelled me to share my story and warn potential customers. After my car was unfortunately totaled in a hit-and-run accident, I began the search for a replacement vehicle under time constraints due to the impending expiration of my rental car coverage. Precision Auto Sales of NY caught my eye through a Facebook Marketplace post, offering a vehicle that seemed to fit my needs. While the listed price was higher than I initially anticipated, I was willing to overlook it based on the trust I felt the team had built. They emphasized being a family business with years of experience, demonstrated good communication, and provided detailed pictures of the vehicle. After some negotiation, we agreed on a final price, which I have documented in text messages. However, my positive experience took a nosedive once the financial transaction was initiated. I was pressured to wire the money promptly to avoid shipment delays, as they had promised a two-day delivery. Despite my hesitation due to pending insurance funds from my totaled car, I decided to deplete my savings for the purchase. Immediately after wiring the money, I received a call from Sal, the owner, whom I had not spoken to previously. Shockingly, he claimed that Dan, his son, did not have authorization to finalize the deal and insisted on an additional $800 to proceed. Furthermore, he threatened to delay the shipment for weeks if I didn't comply by 5 pm. Feeling like I had fallen victim to a potential scam, I promptly requested a refund. Sal countered by demanding an extra $500, then $200, $100, and finally offered to ship the car without refunding my money. Despite their attempts to manipulate the situation, I stood firm on my decision to reclaim my funds. Rather than promptly refunding my money, Precision Auto Sales of NY insisted on an email confirmation for a refund and persistently called me throughout the day, pressuring me to reconsider my decision. Despite my pleas for a refund via text, phone, and email, they insisted I had until 5 pm to decide. It wasn't until I involved my lawyer and threatened legal action that I finally received my refund, more than 24 hours later. This experience was not only distressing but also revealed a blatant attempt to take advantage of my vulnerable situation. I strongly advise against conducting any business with Precision Auto Sales of NY. I possess text, email, and voicemail evidence of these unscrupulous interactions and urge others to exercise caution when dealing with this dealership.

Precision Auto Sales Of NY had my car for 20 days. Repairs were done well thanks to Hardman's Auto Electric Service . Sal is your stereotypical used car salesman. Shook me down for $700 towards repairs that should be covered by the warranty at purchase because "this is a big job,". Told me car wouldn't get fixed "right " if I didn't give him money. Why should I pay? " That's how life is " is his response. Cash is all he would take and right in his pocket it went. He likes to tell you "I'm the owner " a lot. Couple tanks of gas and who knows how much in tolls for all involved. STAY AWAY!!!

We were looking for a VERY specific car and they had it. We worked with Sal to have the car shipped to WI and are thrilled with it. It's really clean and in great shape. We also had to work around a vacation and felt well informed about when the car would ship and what to expect. Loving the new car!

pretty good selection, fair market price for the vehicles considering what mileage they had and their condition.

Unethical, Rude, Unreliable cars. Don’t expect them to abide by the warranty or the Lemon Law. DON’T BUY FROM HERE!!
