James Tan is truly a professional, he was great; totally helped me with the purchase of a CPO Maserati Levante. He provided all of the needed information and answered all of my questions upfront which allowed me to make a decision and act quickly. He also provided great guidance and reviewed the vehicle features to ensure that I could enjoy and safely operate the vehicle. His level of customer service is Outstanding!! Also, I like to mention Krystie Zhang; very professional. She reviewed the sale with me, handled all of the financial docs and answered all of my questions with ease; very knowledgeable!! I had an abysmal experience dealing with this Maserati dealer. I contacted the dealership on August 15, 2024 regarding an advertised used BMW 760Li. Karifa Mara got back to me the next morning and informe dealer. I contacted the dealership on August 15, 2024 regarding an advertised used BMW 760Li. Karifa Mara got back to me the next morning and informed me that the car was sent to a BMW dealer to get some recalls completed so he did not have access to the car to answer my multiple questions and information requests. After I made sure they did plan to retail the car given its age and complexity of repairs if anything was needed, I offered to put in a deposit to secure the car while we vet the specifics. It was a very reasonable suggestion given that the car was not at the dealership and I had multiple questions and information that I required to have as a remote buyer (I am a hobbyist collector). Karifa informed me that a NON-refundable deposit could be the only option and cautioned me that if I decided not to proceed, the deposit would be forfeited. This should have been my first clue that this dealership is an unethical operation, as non-refundable deposits are not even technically legal, especially as no paperwork was yet presented nor any specifics (including price) agreed upon. We decided to wait until the car returned to the dealership. Days went by and I kept asking for information, such as the inspection report, service reports (such as the RO performed at the dealership to return the car), and specifics about their fees and payment. Karifa was nice and friendly but he was as slow as a snail in getting the information over. Finally, on Friday, August 23, Karifa informed me that the car was back at their dealership. I asked for pictures and videos, and a proforma PO and specifics, and all I got was wire transfer info, and later on a few poorly taken pictures trickled in, and a video (after I asked again) without audio where Krifa supposedly went over the car's flaws audio-visually. Anyway, I told Karifa to get the PO over and asked my accountant to handle the specifics. At that point, I was told the dealership charges a 3% fee for credit card deposits and there is also an $800 bogus fee added to the purchase price. I offered a very reasonable compromise purchase price and asked Karifa to get his GSM's OK before proceeding. I did not hear anything back until I pinged Karifa, and he got back to me on Monday, August 26, saying the car was available and that we could proceed. I did not hear again for hours and pinged him again, at which point he told me the car just got sold to a local buyer. This was EXTREMELY disappointing and unprofessional. I don't think Karifa was involved, but his manager or GSM must have been, and, to me, this sort of business conduct is very unprofessional and unethical. I was strung along for 10+ days, and in the end, there was no courtesy extended to me to give me the first right of refusal, given the amount of time invested at my end. My recommendation would be to stay absolutely away from this dealership, and any other dealership under the Criswell umbrella, given the unprofessionalism and unethical approach in handling my business. More
