My service advisor, Joel, was professional and concerned about my experience with the service department. I was upset about the cost of my services because I thought they would be covered by the expensive e about my experience with the service department. I was upset about the cost of my services because I thought they would be covered by the expensive extended warranty I purchased in 2019. I didn’t realize that the warranty ( extended) would expire before I finished paying for my car and before I had driven 50,000 miles. I did not expect the EXTENDED WARRANTY to end so early. I was disappointed that I have brought my car to a Honda dealership for all services YET no one checked out my cabin or air filters, my battery or the carbon build up WHILE IT WAS UNDER WARRANTY? I understand that this is how dealerships make money but it leaves a very bad impression on this customer. I’m also concerned that HONDA parts ( brake pads, air filters, etc.) do not last for more than 25,000 miles? Joel listened patiently to my complaints are he apologized profusely ( although he is not to blame). I had a $100 coupon and Joel was able to give me another discount. My car is making a clicking sound now and it was not doing that before I brought it in for service. Also my oil life indicator light keeps coming on and I am not sure how to turn it off. Overall I have not had any problems with the service department. I know that they are doing their job. I have no less than 35-40 emails from Honda and not one is a reminder that my EXTENDED SERVICE WARRANTY ( or pretend warranty) is about to expire. My expectations were that knowledge of this warranty would cause the service department to be more thorough when inspecting my car and determining what service was needed and/or what preventative maintenance was recommended. If that was done properly most of the services I paid for today would have been covered by the warranty. I now have to go to Auto Zone and purchase filters and replace them myself… not something that I expected to do after spending $2000 - $3000 on warranties and service. If you are still reading this review then I want you to know that I expect to pay more money for service at the dealership. I know that I can go to Kwik Car Or Walmart for a cheap oil change but I choose to go to the dealership because I thought that they would be more careful with my vehicle and with their customers. I don’t have a lot of extra money but I need transportation so my car is a priority… I suffer the cost. I thought I did that on the front end of this purchase by paying for the additional warranty when I bought the car. I realize now that was a mistake. I loved Joel but I have some negative feelings about HONDA right now. That says a lot because I have owned a Honda since 1996. More
