I asked them to look at it again and we scheduled an appointment for the next week. I showed up at 7 am for my appointment and they didn’t remember my appointment. They didn’t do any work, so I left and my warranty is about to expire without the issue getting resolved. Completely unacceptable. Tristan was my contact there and he was absolutely worthless. He knew nothing. He didn’t call me with updates for the first appointment. I had to call him to find out what the status of my car was. Then, he didn’t even remember the follow up appointment. Extremely Disappointed and Frustrated I am beyond frustrated, angry, and honestly hurt by the way I was treated by this dealership. I took my 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited there for one reason: THREE ope frustrated, angry, and honestly hurt by the way I was treated by this dealership. I took my 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited there for one reason: THREE open recalls. I understand it’s a 2002 and an older vehicle, and I understand dealerships don’t make much money on recall work, but it’s still their job. I specifically told them I knew about the other issues, had parts ordered, and was going to fix them myself. The ONLY reason I left my Jeep there was because I was told the recall parts were ready. I dropped it off Thursday around 9:30 AM and left it there for FOUR business days. THEN Monday I was told the parts would be on the next truck. When I asked, “I thought the parts were already ordered and ready?” suddenly I was told they still had the parts and would try to get it done the next day or following day. After four business days, NONE of the recalls were completed. My driver-side window regulator was already intermittent. Sometimes it worked and sometimes it didn’t, and I told them that. When I dropped the Jeep off, the window was UP and still usable. They wanted to put the key inside the vehicle, so instead of putting it on the door, mirror, toolbox, or somewhere else, THEY ROLLED THE WINDOW ALL THE WAY DOWN and put the key inside. When I questioned why they did that knowing the regulator had problems, I was told, “That’s what a shops do.” Now the window is completely unusable. Then there’s the hood release cable. I already knew it was broken, had replacement parts ordered, and told them I was going to fix it myself. They told me they weren’t going to open the hood because they didn’t want to be held liable for damaging the already-broken cable. Yet the cable was apparently yanked and twisted on anyway, leaving it frayed and nearly completely broken. They also damaged the plastic casing around the hood release. Luckily, I was able to get the hood open after I got home. Then they told me the third brake light was out. I regularly inspect my vehicles, including my work vehicles, and I knew it was working before I brought the Jeep there. IT’S STILL WORKING TODAY. They also told me the coolant was empty. Once again, it wasn’t. And after all of this, they don’t even want to take responsibility for what happened. I understand dealerships charge more. I understand labor isn’t free. I understand parts are marked up. THAT’S NOT WHAT I’M ANGRY ABOUT. I’m angry because I trusted them with my vehicle and specifically told them what I did and did not want done. I’m angry because being told the recall parts were ready was the ONLY reason I left my Jeep there. I’m angry because they operated a known-problematic window and then told me, “That’s what shops do.” I’m angry because they messed with a hood cable I specifically told them I would fix myself and damaged the surrounding plastic and cable. I’m angry because they told me things were wrong with my Jeep that I personally checked and knew weren’t true. And I’m REALLY xxxxxx off that after four days, they didn’t even complete the three recalls I brought it in for. I haven’t driven this Jeep since I brought it home. I took it in because I don’t want to risk my safety or anyone else’s safety by driving a vehicle with unresolved safety recalls. I trusted them to take care of that, and they didn’t. What a xxxx joke. I would not recommend this dealership for mechanical work based on my experience. If you have an open recall, find another Dodge/Jeep dealership to handle it. I don’t expect anyone to work for free or dealership work to be cheap. I expect them to DO THEIR JOB, respect my vehicle, respect what I told them, communicate honestly, and take responsibility when something goes wrong. Being an older Jeep doesn’t mean it isn’t worth their time. A recall is a recall, and it’s still their responsibility to perform it correctly.
