I grew up in Floodwood, Minnesota, and graduated from Crosier Seminary. I have a 2 year certificate in Bank Operations. I graduated from the College Of St. Scholastica. I was in banking 12 years prior to the car business. Working with my father, I have spent the last 28 years in the automotive business. I have one love in my life, Karen, who I have been married to for 25 years. Karen is my ROCK, best friend, and soul mate. I have a beautiful daughter, and handsome, identical twin boys. I love fast boats, cars, and anything with a motor. I also enjoy reading, landscaping, and working outdoors – using my hands. I now live in Hudson with my wife; we enjoy the peace of country living.

Kristi and Larry, I am sorry for not responding sooner as I was out of town for a family emergency over the past week plus, my mother-in-law was at deaths doorstep in Tennessee!! I tried calling this AM but went straight to voicemail so I decided to answer this e-mail from 3/7/2023. I am very disappointed to see that you posted a negative review!! When I spoke with your husband, I did agree to reimburse you for your expenses but specified I needed receipts. I did reimbursed you for all the receipts I was given but cannot use a bank statement or credit card statement as a receipt. GM will NOT reimburse you, me or anyone for expenses without receipts which is there audit trail for the IRS. I explained this to your husband when he came in and Jan also told him she needed actual receipts to which he replied he had more. If you have those receipts no problem, if you don't there is nothing more I can do because a bank statement and credit card statement are NOT receipts from a retailer. You also keep hanging your hat on the fact a dealer whom you have dealt with once in your life, stated that we miss-repaired the Equinox. It appears the 20 years you have been doing business at our dealer and our word means nothing compared the dealer in Dalton, GA. When we spoke on the phone your husband indicated we did not seal the oil pan correctly. Is this possible, yes, but not likely based on the fact you made it to Dalton, GA, had a check engine light making the vehicle go into reduce power mode. This was an electrical component failure that we did NOT touch and you did not have a check engine light on when you came into my dealer. However, in speaking with our technician, GM and reviewing the repair that was made it was this "internal oil pressure control solenoid" that failed not the gasket which had nothing to do with the repair we performed. In fact, if our technician would not sealed the oil pan as you were told, all the oil would have been blown out of the motor before you reached your home and the motor would have failed, the crankcase oil pressure in a Equinox is too strong to retain any oil in the event of a severe leak as you were told. Yet, in hind sight even though the repair was completely unrelated we kept our word and reimbursed your expenses as discussed in late January. It is unlikely if you were dealing with another GM store you would have gotten any reimbursement let alone $1,429.53 because a lot of dealers don't know they can help or care because it takes so much time when dealing with GM. The dealer and GM have no obligation to reimburse expenses unrelated to a factory warranty repair or failure which covers break downs. The factory warranty does not allow for trip interruptions or expenses unrelated to getting the vehicle to a dealer to be repaired. I have done everything I can do for you and if our 20 year relationship or your trust in us has no value it may be best if you take your vehicle to another GM store that can meet your expectations.
