** 9/12 UPDATE ** - The next day, the dealership messaged me back again to say they authorized a bit more on my trade in and found a $427 unused portion of my GAP insurance to get the payment closer to where I offered. They showed me the buyer's order and were charging me 500.00 for a "pre delivery service fee" and "1,000.00" for "Dealer Fee'. When questioned what and why these fees were being charged, the dealer fee is basically straight profit into the dealership's pocket for admin costs/profit and the pre delivery service fee is for reconditioning the vehicle and prepping it for sale. Why would I pay that?! When messaged back, the replies stopped and communication ceased. I emailed the owner Jay Measley, per his offer on 9/5/24 that you can see he replied with. As of 9/12 and he has yet to reply to me ... dead silence after my contact attempt to him.
