Levi Henson was awesome from the first call to me driving off of the lot. I had a complicated situation, he made it easy so I could get my wife a new car same day! Don’t do this like I did, but he kindly stayed late to make sure I could head home with a new car. He was very easy to approach, is real/down to earth, and does not sell. He advises, which I loved. The manager who inspected my used car trade in low balled my trade value by $1500 and when I grabbed my key and started to leave he snapped at me and said “I guess I’ll be the bad guy then” and honored the value we agreed on. In hindsight sight it was probably just a ploy to cover the fact that they only gave me one key (they got the car from a rental fleet with only one key?) which cost me $600 to replace and the car had 2 tires that needed replaced, another $600. All of that may have been on the up and up but the ghosting from Erik and the snippy manager made the whole experience feel dirty. There was one bright side and that was the finance guy named Sean O’Connor. He was a total pro. Very professional, informative, polite, and personable. He was very busy at the time I closed the sale but never detracted his attention from our business at hand. To be honest, before I went into his office to finalize the sale my gut told me to end the sale and leave and start my search over. Sean saved that deal. There were a few little things that could have been better by Suburban Mazda. 1. Both keys or disclose that beforehand 2. License plate bolts. Why remove those? Or why not replace them if you got the car without them? It was just another pain I had to deal with that was unnecessary 3. Don’t cut off communication once the sale is over, very unprofessional. It would have amounted to about 2 minutes of your time. 4. The tires. The tire guy that I bought new tires from said ZERO chance those tires passed a presale inspection from the dealer. Erik stated that they were within the dealers spec (the had slashes in the sidewall from hitting a curb maybe) I dunno but it was costly. All in all, I spent $1200 to get the car right. I wish I would have kept searching and upped my budget instead of dealing with Erik and angry guy. I haven’t decided if I’m going to leave a google review or not yet. I’m leaning towards yes but hate punishing a whole business by the acts of a few. More
