Corwin Toyota is an absolute joke of a dealership. I came here after researching numerous vehicles, ready to view, test, and purchase a used vehicle with over 12k cash. The vehicle i had seen on and researched pulled up and immediately I could see damage that wasn't pictured on the website. So without opening a door I turned it down. The salesmen asked me a bit about what I was looking for and throughout this whole experience he was probably the most competent, respectable person I had to deal with. Long story short I ended up buying a used 2018 ford. One owner. Bought and serviced from another local dealer. The car was clean. Test drove wonderfully. Alittle smaller than I wanted but it seemed reliable and well taken care of. So the salesmen pulled it and a few days later I was there for purchase. Well if the first vehicles undocumented damage being a red flag didn't stop me, let me warn you dont ever bring these clowns cash. I showed up to purchase for alittle over 11k. Ended up going with a one year warranty only because they gave me a bad vibe. So it came to around 13k. And when paying cash they say cash, check, or card doesn't matter. I call xxxxxxxx I know a few local dealers. And I know sales. Cash is king cash makes conversation. But me not wanting to waste my energy on the incompetent I resumed purchase. Not even two weeks after I drove the car off the lot my check engine comes on. So me being a bit of a car guy, but not a mechanic or having mechanic tools I stop to have the code read. And it comes back as a misfire. So with my one year warranty I took it back to Corwin to have fixed. After two full weeks they finally realized it was a misfire. Needed a new engine. After another week they determined it was a common problem. Went from one replacement engine, to another replacement engine from ford. This whole deal stretched out over two months. My first service rep was on the ball. But than she quit and went somewhere else. So I got turned over to Sean. The service manager. This clown told me the repairs were 4k above my warranty coverage. For an engine. On a 6 year old car. 4 cylinder car. After numerous calls and nonsense I still paid over the warranty coverage. And then after my car was finished and ready I didn't find out it was ready till 3 days later when I called them. When I went to pick it up I was taken on a test drive with a service tech. He was a very honest guy and let me know that numerous techs, and service managers there have quit to go elsewhere because management cuts corners, scams, and does not care about the customer, or the upkeep of incoming cars. A day later I noticed a slight rattle. New engine. Alot of work. Dealer work. Shouldn't rattle. So I brought it back. In the service lane everyone acted like they couldn't hear anything. So I had them bring a tech out. He couldn't hear anything but offered to throw it on the lift and take a look. As he's looking for what I'm almost positive was a loose heat shield. I see a big glob of grease from my drivers side tie rod. Ask, he confirms, and bam replacement scheduled cover by corwin. Anyways long story short. This dealership is nothing but a headache to deal with. They'll cover problems, they'll scam and uncharge repairs to make a dollar, Sean is a worthless service tech, and who ever owns corwin should call me, so I can break thier worthless xxx down to less than a penny. This is the second time I’ve had a nail in a tire and relied on Corwin for a fix - reasonably priced at about $35 for the patch, and they tossed in the usual inspection to catch other problems. Overall a great dealership, the repair took a little too long at 90 minutes but that’s my only real criticism. More
