3/7/2025 The service department here is terrible. Took my 2014 Ram 1500 for an issue with the air-ride suspension losing air. Prior to appointment they told me they charge $175.00 diagnostic fee and Took my 2014 Ram 1500 for an issue with the air-ride suspension losing air. Prior to appointment they told me they charge $175.00 diagnostic fee and any repairs would be taken from the fee. I agreed but called Performance Dodge to check their fee ($160). Spirit was closer and more of a convenience so I took it there. Gave them a list of what I was having issues with (both rear turn signals, brake light out, needed an oil change, and the issue with a ride). I explained that I recently had the compressor replaced for the air-ride, I also explained that I felt the turn signal issue was something in the steering column since it occurs when I am turning the wheel. They responded with their recommendations from their inspection that included a new battery, new tail light assembly and a new air filter totaling over $1000. I was told they could not duplicate the issues with the turn signal or the air-ride leak. I get it sometimes you take a vehicle to get fixed and it’s not doing what it does when you are operating it yourself. I declined all recommendations because I can do that work myself for half the price. I asked them to drive the vehicle for about 15-20 miles on bumpy roads or the highway. Phone call back was they drove it for 19 miles and could not duplicate it still. So 3 days later I take my truck for a 20+ mile drive on the highway and the air-ride fails again (And the turn signals while turning continues to go out). So I call back and spoke with Myke who I was dealing with from the beginning and he told me he can’t accommodate having a mechanic tied up that long to drive my vehicle around. I told him that all I needed to hear and I would take it to Performance and he hung up on me. This place is totally unprofessional and a rip off. I would not recommend buying any cars from Ron Baus or having his staff attempt to fix your vehicle. More

The service department treated me with respect and my vehicle was ready as promised. My salesman Fred Honsell greeted me as I walked in the door to check in about how I was enjoying the vehicle I purch vehicle was ready as promised. Also, Ron Baus made it a point to check in with me as I picked up my vehicle at the service desk. He made sure that all my questions were answered by the service manager before I left the desk. I have dealt with Spirit for many many years. They have helped me in the past get into wonderful vehicles. They all made it so much easier than I expected.
