There was a particular unpleasant experience with the one of the financial managers by the name Derrick who took advantage of my fiancé’s language barrier and manipulated her into signing a document which she didn’t understand. On the Mother’s Day weekend, me and my fiancé purchased over $100,000 in vehicle vehicles and we had secured agreements with the personnel working. The financial manager, Derrick stated our contracts or financial agreements have been approved by the bank so we took the two vehicles and we were satisfied with the deals. Today, May 16, my fiancé went back to the dealership to purchase gap insurance on the vehicle we purchased for her. Derrick tricked her into signing a new contract where the interest rate had gone up 3% and the financial terms were stretched out for an additional year from what we have previously agreed upon. My fiancé is primary language in Spanish and she doesn’t understand a lot of the wording in sales contracts so it was important that I be present during any contract negotiations as I was on Mother’s Day weekend. Derrick saw that she had entered the dealership without me and tricked her into signing a new contract. For these reasons, I would give Jerry Ulm Dodge lowest rating possible in customer satisfaction and I would never recommend anyone. I know to purchase a vehicle from your dealership. Thank you. More

Great work by Ricky Melendez in advocating for the customer (me) and many thanks to Mike "Big Mike" Gero in offering an aggressive, "out the door", final price! Ricky went the extra mile and personally delivered the vehicle to my daughter here in Orlando on a Saturday! I hope to have an opportunity in the near future to work with the Jerry Ulm team again! The dealership refused to take it back, wouldn’t work out a fair deal, and didn’t reimburse my $247 rental. Sales Manager Mike Gero told me, “If every business were run honorably, they would go out of business.” If you’re buying a used car from Jerry Ulm, know that once you sign, they take no responsibility—no matter what happens. Full Review: I purchased a 2019 Ford Fusion Energi, a plug-in hybrid, from Jerry Ulm Dodge Chrysler Jeep in Tampa. Within 150 miles of driving, the car broke down. While frustrating, I brought it back in, hoping it could be repaired quickly. While the vehicle was in service, a recall was performed that permanently removed its plug-in capability, eliminating one of the car’s primary features. Naturally, I was disappointed and returned to the dealership, expecting to have a conversation about how they could make things right. Given the rare nature of the situation, my expectation was that they would either take the car back entirely and make me whole on the last deal, or at the very least, work with me on a fair new deal. Additionally, my car was in service for 10 days, during which I had to rent a vehicle for $247—an expense the dealership did not reimburse. When I tried to discuss options with Sales Manager Mike Gero, his attitude was dismissive. At one point, he asked me pointedly, "What do you want to have me do?" I responded with, "I think the honorable thing in a very rare situation like this would be to take back the car and make me whole on the other transaction so we can move forward with buying a new car." His response? "If every business were run honorably, then they would all go out of business." That statement alone speaks volumes about how Jerry Ulm Dodge Chrysler Jeep approaches customer service and integrity. Beyond that, he also made it very clear that once a used car leaves the lot, it’s no longer their problem—even if it breaks down immediately. Ultimately, after further discussions, we couldn’t reach an agreement. It was evident that the dealership was unwilling to work toward a reasonable resolution, and they did not seem to care that the car they sold me was no longer functioning as advertised. If you’re considering buying a used car from Jerry Ulm Dodge Chrysler Jeep, be prepared for zero support once you sign the contract—no matter what happens next. Their own sales leadership explicitly stated they do not operate honorably. More
