I hate the process of buying a car! It’s one of the most unpleasant tasks out there. However, I am a car lover so the process is somewhat unavoidable. For the past 30 years I’ve drive It’s one of the most unpleasant tasks out there. However, I am a car lover so the process is somewhat unavoidable. For the past 30 years I’ve driven an S-class Mercedes and have never regretted it for a single moment… except for those moments spent at the dealership negotiating a new car. And so, when I recently went to a Chicago-land Mercedes dealer to start the process of getting into a new S580, there wasn’t much ‘selling’ that needed to be done. Just a little bit of ‘dealing’. Truth be told, it was pretty much a slam dunk for Mercedes and the dealership. I just had to get through the buying process. 3+ hours of looking at two different cars, asking lots of questions and then having to meet the General Manager as well as the Finance Manager, (ugh!! Why??) I had a quote – sticker price. No deals, no negotiation, no discussion. Seriously? No wonder Mercedes sales are slipping in NA!! Nevertheless, with 30 years of brand loyalty under my belt, I figured this distasteful chore would be over soon. But… I had one stop to make before pulling the trigger. During several trips earlier in the year I had rented a BMW X5 and was surprisingly impressed by the vehicle and the driving experience. So, before pulling the trigger on my new S580, I went to Bill Jacobs BMW and had an appointment to look at the X7 and the 760i with Maggie Bernard, one of the salespeople at Bill Jacobs. From the moment I walked in their doors the experience quickly became something I was totally unfamiliar with at a dealership… it became pleasant. Maggie, while thoroughly professional, was a joy to work with. She was knowledgeable about her product, having been a BMW “genius” prior to joining the sales team, relatable, enthusiastic, and fun to talk to. I felt like I was consulted with rather than sold to. Maggie listened to my needs, asked questions, and never once talked down about other cars or other dealerships. Surprisingly, when we started talking about money she never brought her sales manager to meet me (never really have known if this tactic was meant to intimidate or impress). She never introduced me to her finance manager – thank you!!! Instead, it was a relatively straightforward, and in my opinion, honest and refreshing process that was so totally different than my MB experience several hours earlier. It was just Maggie and me. Honestly, the hardest part of the entire process was coming to grips with the idea that my decades of loyalty to MB was coming to an end. Well, maybe not an end… perhaps, expanded is a better word – to now include BMW. And I would, and will, go back to Bill Jacobs BMW, and Maggie Bernard, in a heartbeat, when I’m ready for another car. She literally took the stress out of a stressful situation and helped make it enjoyable. Without taking anything away from Maggie and her efforts, the real thrill, though, was in driving the 760i. What a spectacular piece of driving innovation. Who knew getting from Point A to Point B could be so exhilarating… so satisfying! Mercedes – you could learn a few things from Maggie and Bill Jacobs BMW! Thank you to Maggie Bernard and to Bill Jacobs BMW for making this process so seamless and easy to navigate. A new seed of brand loyalty has been planted. Special thanks too, to Jovanny “Gio” Soto, one of Bill Jacobs’ “genius’s” for walking me through the crazy coolness of my new 760i. His enthusiasm for his product is infectious and he’s just another example of what it means to be a true brand ambassador. Well done, Gio! More

Recently, my wife and I decided to purchase a two-seater sports car. We visited Bill Jacobs BMW in Naperville, Illinois (www.billjacobsbmw.com) and we fell in love with the 2025 BMW Z4 sDrive M40i converti sports car. We visited Bill Jacobs BMW in Naperville, Illinois (www.billjacobsbmw.com) and we fell in love with the 2025 BMW Z4 sDrive M40i convertible. These cars are difficult to find and often dealerships only get a small allocation each year. Our BMW Client Advisor, Maggie, worked with us and was able to obtain an allocation for us. Our experience with Maggie was incredible. She was very knowledgeable about the car model and helped us choose the features on our Z4. Maggie set up an application on our iPhones that would allow my wife and I to track the building and shipping of the car on a daily basis from factory assembly to delivery at the Bill Jacobs BMW dealership. This was a nice touch by Maggie to help keep our excitement for the Z4 while it was being built. I would like to express my wife’s and my appreciation of Maggie (our BMW Client Advisor), and the Bill Jacobs BMW dealership in Naperville, Illinois. The dealership’s entire staff was wonderful. They were professional, knowledgeable, courteous and helpful throughout our purchase experience. The dealership was modern with a professional appearance, and was an exciting place to visit. It gave us a chance to look at the various BMW cars. I would recommend Bill Jacob BMW dealership in Naperville Illinois to anyone who was interested in seeing and purchasing a BMW automobile. Definitely a 5-star dealership. Even though every member of the BMW dealership staff was incredible, I would also like to recommend that anyone looking for a BMW consider asking for Maggie as their BMW Client Advisor. My visit to Bill Jacobs was a great one. I was greeted by JJ who talked me through the 230i. He introduced me to Maggie my sales person. Maggie was wonderful to work with. She gave me frequent updates on the car I ordered. Maggie is the best, very personable, knowledgeable and gave excellent customer service. When the car was ready to be picked up I was in and out in under an hour. I had the very best car buying experience at Bill Jacobs. This is my 7th car I’ve bought from them. Get over there and see Maggie!! More
