Overall really good experience! After way too many years of bland gray colored cars I decided to add some color to my life. I understand "Sunshine Orange" is not everybody's "cup After way too many years of bland gray colored cars I decided to add some color to my life. I understand "Sunshine Orange" is not everybody's "cup of tea" but I actually like the color. I cast a wide net with a search on Cargurus, Auto Trader, Carvana, and others to find a Crosstrex. I found what I was looking for about 500 miles and 7 hours driving distance away in "Lost Wages", NV. Based on the distance, a few back and forths with overnight envelopes for signatures is to be expected. The whole thing was an adventure, in a good kind of way. I flew from Monterey, CA airport on a Friday night (which they reimbursed me for) and got into LV around 8:30pm. They had somebody pick me up and bring me to the dealership and the car was as advertised, clean and in great condition (2019 with 44k on it). I did have them send numerous photos and a video "walk-around" which you (obviously) have to do in a situation like this, and they were more than willing to accommodate. The car had been sitting on the lot for about three months (probably because the color?) and so I got a great price. We got done at the dealership that night around 10:00pm and so I headed back home and got to Primm, NV on the border of NV/CA. I stayed overnight in Primm at a smoky hotel (Buffalo Bill's Resort and Casino) but got to see the car that Bonnie and Clyde were "cut to ribbons in" (when "the law" final caught up with them) in the late 30's and then drove the rest of the way back the next morning. A six-hour trip home but a blast with a new car. Unfortunately, I live in a tax & regulation nightmare state, so I had several "hoops" to jump through (and additional fees) to register and get plates. Keep in mind the timeline from purchase to registering the vehicle (if you're a CA resident) because you have only 20 days to get it all done otherwise: big, fat penalty fees. With the financing, paperwork, trips to the Department of Major Vexing and back and forth Fed-Ex envelopes, it goes by fast. Bottom of line: I'd do it again, good experience and great customer service. More
