Corwin Toyota will cut corners, and you will pay the cost. We purchased a vehicle (less than five years old, ~70,000 miles) from Luke at Corwin Toyota. JR was the supervising manager, and our finance cost. We purchased a vehicle (less than five years old, ~70,000 miles) from Luke at Corwin Toyota. JR was the supervising manager, and our finance representative was JB. We were sent home without the correct paperwork to insure, register, or pay the loan for the car. I had to follow up with JB, and they eventually created a new flash drive for us to pick up with the documents we should have received at the time of sale. A few weeks later, one of the tires stopped holding air. We brought the car to Corwin’s service department. The technician told us that the tires did not look good and were cracking on the sides and leaking air. When we explained that we had just purchased the vehicle from them about five weeks earlier, they told us to speak with our salesperson, Luke, right away. Luke told us that the service employees “don’t get paid until they make sales,” so they will always tell customers they need new tires. These service employees the same people who inspected the car five weeks earlier and cleared it for sale -- so we were quite confused. We took the car to a second tire shop for another opinion. They immediately put the spare tire on and said all four tires were in bad shape, with the front two showing dry rot and needing to be replaced as soon as possible. When we spoke with Luke again, he said “retail tires are a scam” and advised us not to purchase from Corwin or any other professional tire shop. He said he had looked up some tires on Facebook Marketplace on our behalf. He apologized many times, and when I asked if there was anything he could do to make things right, he said he would check and get back to us. He did not follow up. I called again, and Luke said the tires were “good enough to pass inspection” because they “just check tread depth,” and that there was nothing more they would do. [UPDATE: After receiving a reply to this review on another platform encouraging me to call customer service, I spoke with Cherie, the head of customer service. She said she would speak with the Sales Manager and General Manager. After doing so, she told me they would not take further action because the tires had “passed inspection.” When I asked what advice she would give me if I were her daughter, she said, “we all get burned,” and encouraged me to do better research next time. She referred to my experience as a “lesson learned.” I also learned that the response to my review was automated -- no one actually cared or wanted me to call.] This was our first time buying a car. We trusted that Corwin was a reputable dealership and did not get a third-party inspection. I will not make that mistake again. Do not trust Corwin Toyota. I’m grateful nothing worse happened, but we now need to replace all four tires less than six weeks after purchasing the vehicle. We will also be getting a full inspection from another mechanic in case anything else was overlooked or misrepresented in the "inspection" completed before sale. More

Absolutely unimpressed with the service here. Have been to the dealer twice to fix a we owe you and still have to go back a third time. One person can approve them, I was told he was in a meeting Have been to the dealer twice to fix a we owe you and still have to go back a third time. One person can approve them, I was told he was in a meeting and wouldn’t come out to approve while I was there. Didn’t ever send me the paperwork for the vehicle until I requested it a third time. Disappointed with this being a “Toyota” dealership. Even the manager over service complained to me about their sales department. More

I recently had a frustrating experience with the service center at this dealership. I scheduled an appointment for a simple blinker light replacement, which was supposed to be a courtesy since I had just pu center at this dealership. I scheduled an appointment for a simple blinker light replacement, which was supposed to be a courtesy since I had just purchased the vehicle. Unfortunately, things went wrong from the start. First, I had to reschedule my appointment because the blinker housing was broken. No big deal, things happen, so I moved to the next scheduled date. Then, I was told they weren’t supposed to schedule me for that day at all, which caused another delay. On my third attempt, the blinker light actually broke while the mechanic was installing it. This is when things really started to feel frustrating. To make matters worse, I also had a check engine light issue. When I called to add it to the appointment, I was told I’d need to visit an actual Jeep dealership for that issue, which ended up costing me for both the check engine diagnostic and the blinker replacement (which was supposed to be free as part of the purchase). Overall, the experience has been incredibly inconvenient and disappointing. It feels like a lack of coordination and care on their part, and I ended up paying more than I had expected due to repeated mistakes. I hope they improve their service and communication in the future. More

Her professionalism and efforts were greatly appreciated. The one negative experience we’d like to address was while Yesenia was assisting us and actively speaking to us at her desk, an older lady came and squeezed herself between the wall and Yesenia to look for ‘cords’. This was very rude, unprofessional, and unnecessary while any salesperson is with a customer. Yesenia was very polite to her and let her look for what she was looking for, but this was definitely not the time and the other lady definitely could’ve waited until Yesenia was not with a customer. JR stated I would get a call in a timely manner from the reconditioning team to get the issue resolved. They had lost my updates You Owe paperwork. I then had to return to the dealership to inquire about my phone call. JR told me the “dropped the ball” and I should get another call in a “timely manner.” I have yet to receive a call and I had to go to another Toyota dealership to get assistance. I will not be buying a vehicle from Corwin Toyota again. False promises and incompetent customer service ruined my car buying experience. More

"On January 1st, I purchased a used 2013 Subaru STI from Corwin. Within 60 miles (my drive home from Colorado Springs to Highlands Ranch), the engine seized. The dealership refuses to take responsibility Corwin. Within 60 miles (my drive home from Colorado Springs to Highlands Ranch), the engine seized. The dealership refuses to take responsibility and claims the damage was caused by my 'improper use of a standard transmission,' which completely inaccurate. The lack of oil in the engine is the cause of the damange. Luckily I have photos. Additionally, the General Manager refuses to take my calls. I am pursuing legal action to resolve this matter. I urge anyone considering buying a car from Corwin to exercise extreme caution and ensure a thorough pre-purchase inspection." More

This is single handedly the worse dealership I’ve had the misfortune of dealing with and highly recommend those looking at used vehicles from this dealer proceed with caution. Read the fine print of any misfortune of dealing with and highly recommend those looking at used vehicles from this dealer proceed with caution. Read the fine print of any and all “extended warranties” this dealer may try to sell you as you could very well end up with an expensive warranty contract that will not cover you for anything. Ensure you ask them for extensive vehicle records as they will not provide them unless specifically asked and also have the vehicle inspected by a trusted mechanic prior to signing anything. If they try to pressure you otherwise seek buying a used vehicle elsewhere as you may very well end up with some surprises. In my case I had to spend $3600 between a clutch replacement and other items. Corwin was nice enough to offer $500 towards the above repairs however this was only as a result of my push-back and reviews. Not to mention due to their failure to submit paperwork I nearly lost my original interest rate. This also resulted in additional inquiries on my credit which as a result dropped my credit score. You guys tried to sell me useless plans that would not cover me and even argued with me about it after I confirmed with the warranty companies of the plans you offer. Not to mention you failed to disclose you had the vehicle tuned, let me leave the lot without temp tags and the stupid gps tracker you sold me initially and then tried to give me pushback when I wanted to return the tracker and cancel the plans. You people seem to think taking advantage of people is ok and you have been put on notice with this review. If you are looking at purchasing a modified vehicle or any used vehicle be warned as they do the bare minimum required on their trade ins before offering them for sale. They will tell you the typical dealership xx just to make more money off of you as a consumer and god forbid you have issues do not expect them to take care of you without dragging you through a lot of unnecessary hassle. You guys are the last dealership I would ever recommend and I will make sure I inform everyone I meet/know of this experience. More
