I always go to Findlay Toyota in the auto mall in Henderson because they consistently deliver excellent service, whether it’s in sales, maintenance or repairs. Power train warranty refused without proof Brought my vehicle in to get diagnosed and repaired at Findlay Toyota after a break down. Still under powertrain warranty at under 5 years old and aro Brought my vehicle in to get diagnosed and repaired at Findlay Toyota after a break down. Still under powertrain warranty at under 5 years old and around 40,000 miles on the odometer. However immediately upon visual inspection they said because there was a flex fuel kit for E85 in the vehicle my warranty was voided. This is without them actually diagnosing the problem therefore making it impossible to identify the actual cause of the break which is legally required by the Magnuson-Moss Act they don't seem to care about. They haven't opened it up but suspect a spun rod bearing based on the symptoms and say it requires around $5,000 for a short block replacement. Spun rod bearings are a common complaint online for these vehicles even on low mile stock vehicles with zero modifications and so I believe my problem is absolutely unrelated to anything I have on the car or to anything else because I've followed my maintenance. This seems like a complete cop-out from Toyota and their service department to avoid any responsibility. I followed regular maintenance and had these modifications running on the car for 2 whole years without any problems when casually driving on the freeway I suddenly bogged out and ran rough. They couldn't do better than to jump to the accusation that it's the owners fault and offer no help. Supremely disappointed there were no other options or compromises offered to me. Terrible service towards someone who's purchased their vehicle thinking they made quality vehicles. I'll take my repairs somewhere else now where I feel more confidently they'll actually take the time to identify the problem and fix it for a fair price. This will be the last time I do business with Toyota as a whole because clearly they don't care about their customers so in the future my next vehicle purchases will be with another company and I'll absolutely share my experience so that friends and family never have to deal with the same shady practices of Toyota Findlay. More
