I flew out to ROLLIT MOTORS IN MESA ARIZONA from New Mexico to buy a 2013 FIAT 500 pop. The flight cost me a $400 plane ticket. I was told I would be picked up at the airport BUT when I landed I Mexico to buy a 2013 FIAT 500 pop. The flight cost me a $400 plane ticket. I was told I would be picked up at the airport BUT when I landed I was told to Uber (cost $44) and dealership would reimburse me. When I arrived at Rollit Motors I inspected and Drove the FIAT I was incredibly disappointed!. The car appeared doctored up and superglued back together. It smelled funny, the AC vents were broken and not adjustable to face the driver, The AC had a loud winding motor sound; when should it be quiet. ( keep in mind I own the same year and make of car so I have a valid comparison; I wanted a second one as I love our fun little gas saver my daughter drives). In addition there was adhesive residue that looked like duct tape all along the outside driver side window. The gear shift was in bad shape, peeling, sharp edges where it was peeling and the leather boot was torn away from base. There was a big scratch that had been hastily repainted on the passenger side. The steering wheel rubber base was also cracked and crumbling. The transmission was jerky ( I have 30 years experience driving a stick, I know my stuff) and honestly I didn’t feel remotely safe driving that FIAT the 350 miles back home to Albuquerque. I had been assured before I flew out that the car was in excellent mechanical condition and had a warranty for 2 weeks or 500 miles. Savic in no way pressured me into buying and even Apple paid me $20 to get lunch. I understand no used car is ever perfect; however, I feel strongly that more transparency should have been offered to me beforehand; details like the poorly repaired tears in the rear seats as well as the condition of the AC vents and gear shift, Especially considering I traveled 350 miles to buy it. Obviously I did NOT to buy the car! I hated it and there was no way I trusted it to get me the 350 home!! I asked about the ride share reimbursement I was promised; Slavic talked to GM and informed me that the accounts payable debt was closed (Saturday) but the dealership would mail me a $200 check on Monday, Slavic left to attend to family business so I asked another employee (older bald white man) if someone could give me a ride 2 miles to In and Out Burger; he told me NO (and he was a jerk about it) I took another Uber to get lunch ($10) then another one back up the airport ($34) then another $400 ticket home. The trip cost me nearly $900!! And I got home empty handed.. The dealership promised me only $200 not even 1/4 of what I wasted and which honestly I don’t believe that they will ever send. I feel stupid for trusting their website, I should have read the google reviews before hand as there are many negative ones and a complaint to the BBB. This morning I reevaluated the numbers on the finance sheet, they were off by about $1000 in their favor my credit is a 691 and I was offered a whopping 11.5% interest rate when I qualified for 9% else where. I admit I should have double checked the math and read the google reviews before flying out. But I wanted the car and I was overly trusting. In addition I believe that an ethical business would have reimbursed the entire cost of my travel $900. $200 doesn’t even cover 1/4 of my trip. Savic seemed an outstanding family man and I wanted to love this experience. But instead it put me in a position where I’m out $900 and can no longer buy a car at this time. I would 100% advise NOT to buy a vehicle at Rollit Motors. More
