I’ve always had good experiences with the team at Lia CJDR Schenectady — Freddy Estrada in service is excellent at communicating and always professional. That’s why this one stung. I supplied my own D3S bulb and ballast for my 2019 Grand Cherokee and was charged $340 in labor only for what most shops and RepairPal list as a 0.5–1.5 hour job (dealer average $180–$250). Even YourMechanic quotes $129–$167 flat for the same work. I completely understand labor rates and that HID access on the Grand Cherokee isn’t the easiest, but when I’m bringing the parts myself, more than triple the going independent/mobile rate feels excessive. Hoping Freddy and Service Manager Rob Dariano can review invoice # 115903 and offer a goodwill adjustment. I’d love to keep coming back to Lia, but this one left a bad taste. Thank you — still a fan of the dealership overall, just looking for this to be made right. More

I broke down while passing through town. Lia was closest. It turned out to be one of the best experiences I've ever had with a Jeep dealership. Freddy Estrada was my first contact. He could have made this a very different experience for me knowing his techs had a packed schedule. Instead, he listened intently, asked clarifying questions, and then brought my case to his boss. Dmitri then fixed my Jeep himself without hesitation and I was back on the road within a few hours. I also noticed something else while there: these folks genuinely care about one another like family, and care about the quality of their work in the same way. Everything done to my Jeep was clearly explained to me with patience and a sincere desire to share knowledge to be helpful rather than condescending annoyance. If you are ever in the greater Albany, NY area and even just have a question about your vehicle, give Freddy Estrada a call first to save yourself time by getting the right assessment the first time.
