Very happy with my smooth purchase with South Bay Hyundai through the Costco program. Eddie and Steven were very patient and understanding of my requests and always made me feel valued and understood. I've r through the Costco program. Eddie and Steven were very patient and understanding of my requests and always made me feel valued and understood. I've referred a friend to Eddie for her plans to purchase an Ioniq. My only tiny feedback—unrelated to Eddie and Steven—is that I never received a phone call after Costco connected me to South Bay Hyundai. After a week, I called SB Hyudai. In my other experiences with dealerships through the Costco program, the dealer called quickly after Costco made the connection. More

Although I was able to get the car at the price I wanted I was not left feeling good with the process and interaction with the staff. It took over 3 hours to complete the deal. Each time the sales person wo I was not left feeling good with the process and interaction with the staff. It took over 3 hours to complete the deal. Each time the sales person would present me with numbers and I would take notes on the sheet and whenever I had a question he would take the sheet back to the finance room and come back with a new sheet and new numbers. He kept trashing the sheet I took notes with as if to confuse me and make me take notes all over again. At least two times I questioned that the terms they were verbally telling me did not match the numbers they were presenting me on paper and they had to correct them. Had I not called them out on the terms I think they would have made me pay more. They presented me 3 different term sheets that were formatted totally differently and made it very confusing to understand. I also walked into the finance office to show them a deal they had online that I asked them to match and the finance manager very rudely said NO it was impossible to match that even though it was published on their website. When I asked why he later said he made a mistake and that he could match it but I thought he was very rude. Finally the sales person said he would throw in a privacy screen trunk cover to get the deal done but later said none were available. My overall impression was that the sales tactics practiced at this dealership are not transparent and gives a poor impression of the level of service here. I wish they would not have made promises they didn't intend to keep with the add ins and that they would not try to hide the numbers each time they presented an offer to me. More

In all my years of buying cars, I've never had an experience quite like I did with MJ and South Bay Hyundai. My financial circumstances and the EV market at this particular moment in time made gettin experience quite like I did with MJ and South Bay Hyundai. My financial circumstances and the EV market at this particular moment in time made getting me into the car I wanted especially challenging. MJ put countless hours into finding solutions that worked for me AND South Bay, steering me away from options that were easy but irresponsible. Think about how crazy that is– most dealers have one goal and one goal only, which is to sell a car (and a tire plan! 😂). MJ set out to find me a hard-to-get car at a price that wasn't just doable, but a structure that set me up for a safe financial future. After making his life miserable for a week with all kinds of random problems, we finally struck gold and I got an incredible car at a price that everybody felt good about. Even better, when I arrived to actually pick up my vehicle, I got the sense that everybody was rooting for me, from reception to the service team and even the finance department. Just an all around excellent experience. I honestly never thought I'd care about a car dealership at all and now I'm their biggest fan! More

When I buy a car, I don’t want the runaround, I like to presented a reasonable offer and with in 5 minutes of talking I had a sales manager ironing out details. Just like I like it.
