He was very responsive when I had concerns even over the holiday weekend. He helped resolve a tire issue and followed up after the issue had been fixed. Everyone else from financing, service, porters, to the barista were all helpful and friendly. I felt welcome and honored as a customer. More

I've purchased several Mercedes cars over the years from other dealerships, as well as many other brands. This, by far, has been the best buying experience. And to top if off, I did this from thousands of miles away in California. Don LaPorte, my main contact, was always responsive, answered all my questions, and made me feel comfortable purchasing a high value car from thousands of miles away. Also kudos to Andrew Conner (finance) for being so helpful. Highly recommend this dealership. More

***Avoid at all cost*** I live in a Chicago suburbs but drove all the way to Mercedes-Benz of North Olmsted to purchase an E class coupe (2018) in December 6th, 2018. Everyt I live in a Chicago suburbs but drove all the way to Mercedes-Benz of North Olmsted to purchase an E class coupe (2018) in December 6th, 2018. Everything went smoothly and the salesperson, Don LaPorte was friendly and professional. They even gave me a very fair trade-in value for my BMW convertible. I asked to transfer my existing license plate to the new car but was told that was not possible. They then issued me a temporary license plate. That was where the nightmare began. Since the temporary plate was about to expire, I called the DMV on January 22nd to learn that they still had not received anything from the dealer. I called Matt (the finance director) and left several messages but never heard back from him. This was unexpected. I was naive to think that someone would have a courtesy to return my call after spending $68,417 buying a Mercedes from them. Nope, nada. No one returned my calls. By that time the temporary plate was already expired for a week. I was stopped and told not to use the vehicle until I receive a valid plate. So I decided to call Don on February 5th. That was when I finally heard back from Matt. He mentioned there was a delay on issuing a registration and sent me another temporary tag. I called the DMV again on February 15th just to find out that they still didn't have information of the vehicle in the system yet. I decided to contact Ohio DMV but was told that the new title was in fact issued to the dealer since December 10th, 2018. Well, someone was lying then. So I called Don and Matt and left multiple messages. None of them returned my calls. I again called Don on February 20th and 21st but my calls kept going straight to his voicemail. So I tried again from a different phone number. This time he answered and promised that I would get the plate by next Monday and he would send me a tracking number as well. That didn't happen but the State of Illinois finally got the vehicle information in the system on February 22nd and subsequently, I received the plate and title on March 3rd. That wasn't the end of the nightmare. Months later, I took the car to a dealer to see how much I would get if I wanted to trade in. And guess what? The car which was advertised as no accidents with a clean CARFAX report had a frontal collision and had been repainted. The person who inspected the car also found two paint tapes behind the front grill and below the left engine room. He even questioned how this car was qualified as a certified pre-owned. That was not it. Then a couple of days ago I received a collection letter from State of Illinois for the amount of $563.72. I called and was told that the sale tax from the car purchase was submitted to State of Illinois in February 2019, not December 2018 as when the purchase occurred. Therefore. I was charged penalty and interest for the late payment and filing. It took me almost four months to finally got my license plate. Let's see how long it is going to take them to get back to me and take care of this issue. I am also wondering how much my credit score will be effected after this collection process. If you read until this line. I hope you don't have to go through xxxx like what I have been through at this dealer. More
