I’ve been a Lou Fusz Kia customer for the last 7 years. Not a single time I’ve received bad service. That’s why my last 3 cars have been bought and serviced there. Not a single time I’ve received bad service. That’s why my last 3 cars have been bought and serviced there. More

THE WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD I recently bought a used car at Lou Fusz Kia on Lindburgh. IT WAS THE WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. First of all, we had an appointment I recently bought a used car at Lou Fusz Kia on Lindburgh. IT WAS THE WORST CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. First of all, we had an appointment. When we arrived, you would think that the car would be ready for our appointment, but it was not. The salesman (Curtis) made us wait while he went and retrieved the car, and when he pulled it up, it had months’ worth of dirt and xxxx all over it. I didn't expect it to be freshly washed, but if they knew someone was interested in it, they might have cleaned it up a bit. We then took it for a test drive. As soon as we left the lot, my wife noticed that the gas tank was on E and the gas light was on! Lindburgh is one way where this lot is located as the lanes are separated by a concrete barrier, and we became nervous that we would run out of gas having to drive a mile up the street looking for a place to turn around and another mile to get back to the lot. The inside of the car was also filthy. When we got back to the lot and told the salesman about the empty tank and the dirty state of the car, he smiled and seemed unconcerned. We visited this lot late on a Saturday afternoon after spending all day on car lots looking at cars, intending to purchase a used car for my wife. Unfortunately for me, even though the car was dirty and our experience thus far had been lackluster, my wife fell in love with this car, so I intended to buy it for her. I insisted to the salesman that they not only wash the car, but also detail the inside and fill up the tank and tires as they were all low. We then sat down with the salesman and explained that we had already been pre-approved with our credit union, so all they had to do was contact them to get the information and sell us this car. They tried to do so, but apparently, since it was late on a Saturday, they couldn't get the credit union to send over the pre-approval. This is where our experience with Lou Fusz Kia went from bad to worse. A "sales manager" (Michael) came out of the glass walled room and approached us and asked if we were intent on going with our credit union as he hadn't heard back from them, but insisted he could get us as good or a better rate from any number of other lenders. I insisted that I would rather go with our credit union as we knew them and worked with them many times before. He became aggressive in his speech and his tone became demeaning as he went on to explain to us that our loyalty was understandable, but we were only a number to our credit union and they didn't care about us. He then went on to explain that obtaining pre-approval from our credit union was a stupid thing to do as it gummed up the works for them and made the process take longer. He insisted that the only reason banks/credit unions request that you obtain pre-approval was so that they could earn commission off of the sale. We decided to continue to wait on our credit union, hoping that they would return our approval to the car lot soon so that we could get out of there. At about 4:30, since the lot closed at 5, the "sales manager" returned to talk to us in his rude, belittling and berating sort of way, to tell us that if we wanted to go with our credit union after all, we would have to wait until Monday and come back to complete the sale. As we live nowhere near this car lot, and since I wanted to buy this car for my wife without coming back to this terrible lot, I asked him what kind of rates we could get from another lender. He identified several other lenders that would give us great rates given our credit scores and I chose one with the lowest available rate. We then spent a short time waiting as it was getting close to 5pm and the lot was basically empty at that point, before we were shown into a finance room where we were rushed through the finance process. This lot refused to negotiate on the price of the vehicle, refused to give us options for purchasing a warranty (which I always buy), offering us only one high-priced warranty, and refused to negotiate on the price of the GAP insurance (which I also always buy), so if you are reading this and hoping that this car lot will negotiate with you on the price of anything, you will likely be disappointed. To sum up, this lot was unprepared, unprofessional, unwilling to negotiate, uncomfortable, and unworthy of a second visit. Though we did purchase a vehicle from them, I feel we were mistreated there and drove away feeling ripped-off. I will never set foot on this lot again, let alone buy another car from them. I am told that not all Lou Fusz dealerships are this bad, and that this one is the worst, being located in North St Louis County, but that is not a valid excuse! In all my years of owning cars, this was the worst car buying experience I have ever had! More
