This is an email I just wrote to your dealership regarding service issues. I wanted to follow-up regarding a very poor experience I had with your service department. I just purchased a GMC Den regarding service issues. I wanted to follow-up regarding a very poor experience I had with your service department. I just purchased a GMC Denali Ultimate form your dealership a couple of weeks ago, I have also within the year purchased another vehicle from your dealership in Dexter. When I purchased the Denali, it I sat with the sales rep and ordered a tonto cover, floor liners, and a storage organizer. From the minute I walked into the service department to have these items installed the experience was poor. First when I said a was going to wait for the install of the tonto cover someone just blurted out that I was going to be there a long time because all the techs were out on break for at least an hour. At that time I politely stated I made an appointment for 12:45 and was told this would only take about 15 minutes. Then I’m not sure if he was the service manager, but they started complaining bout the “customer,” which was me, like I wasn’t standing right in front of him ordering the wrong cover. When I heard him say that, at that point I was still polite and said I ordered that with my sales rep and was told it would fit. Then he said “how is that my issue” I didn’t order it. Then I was told they wouldn’t put the new floor mats in the truck, but would just leave them in the boxes and put them in the truck. That was more of an annoyance I was more than willing to overlook. Then I was told about three more times that it was my fault that the wrong tonto cover was ordered. When I again told him it was ordered with my sales person he said, “how is that my fault I don’t work in sales.” At that point I did lose my temper, and against my better judgment told him “to xxxx off and open the door so I could leave.” I do apologize for that, I was trying my best not to lose my temper. Then instead of either of us try to deescalate the situation he asked me to repeat what I said and how any of this was caused by his department. I said he heard what I said, and: 1) they made the appointment, 2) had no techs available at the appointment time, 3) knew what truck I had, 4) knew what cover was ordered, 5) knew it would fit, and 6) wasted my time. I told him to return the product, and called GMC to tell them to return it all. I’m irritated that I took the day off of work for this, had my time wasted, was treated like I was some kind of idiot that ordered the wrong part when it was the part your dealership told me to order, and told that it was all my fault and not the dealerships fault repeatedly. I’m shocked this is how I was treated after buying an almost $90,000 vehicle all cash from your dealership. Needless to say, I’m not going to do anymore business with a dealership that treats their customers like this. I don’t need a response, I’m not going to leave a bunch of bad google reviews or anything like that. I’m also not going to waste any more of my time with your dealership with purchasing vehicles, parts or serve. More

LaFontaine's service is generally good - disappointed this time due to having an 8am appointment - dropped off the previous evening - was expecting the car to be ready by noon; it was 11:30 and I had not this time due to having an 8am appointment - dropped off the previous evening - was expecting the car to be ready by noon; it was 11:30 and I had not received any notification, aside from the previous evening when I dropped it off. I called to find out that the service had not even bag. I understood when I was told you were shorthanded today, but someone should have called to advise of the delay. More
