My overall experience here was not great. I recently just purchased a pre-owned truck from Heiser Chevrolet of West Bend on 02/15/2025. There needs to be some serious coaching on used car inspections before they put them out for sale. I was very limited to what I could see and do as it was snowing out, and all over the ground. I thought I would be able to trust them because they are a reputable GM dealer. After driving home, I noticed the oil pressure was very low, and threw a CEL light due to insufficient oil flow to the VVT solenoids. I have records for the p0011 code that it had detected to prove it. Not only that, but the truck was also misfiring. I noticed a bunch of oil underneath the truck when I pulled over, so I had to tow it to my shop. I went to change the oil correctly, and noticed they stripped the threads on the drain plug and oil pan which caused this leak. It was alarming to see that the threads were pulled out of the oil pan which made it impossible to tighten the drainplug. Fortunately no serious damage was done and all is good now, but I had to fix these issues that shouldn't have been. I'm not sure how you could miss this issue while doing the oil change, but this is definitely a result of an incompetent technician. Thankfully, I'm an experienced Auto Technician and is capable of fixing these issues, but shouldn't have been an issue to begin with. I would've felt terrible if I had sold this truck to someone without mechanical experience. I noticed that the wipers were bad too, not a big deal, but you'd think to at least put a new set of wipers on a vehicle before you sell them. After I signed all the paperwork, and declined the warranty, they made it rudely clear that they didn't want to hear anything from me if anything failed, so you already know how that phone call would've went. Needless to say, I would HIGHLY REFRAIN from purchasing a vehicle here. More
