I am very upset that the key FOB was damaged when we turned over the vehicle. I do not know if they dropped the key but it was damaged. If it is not replaced then I will contact BMW USA to make a form turned over the vehicle. I do not know if they dropped the key but it was damaged. If it is not replaced then I will contact BMW USA to make a formal complaint. When I first contacted the service agent about this issue she said that they immediately come back down and showed the key to the person dropping off the car. That is not true. I then had the service agent, myself and my spouse on a three-way call and se changed her story. More

Update on recent visit 3/13/2024 If I could give zero rating I would... Take your cars to different BMW dealers . Don't waste your time at this dealer. Dropped the car off for oil consumption issue again on 3/13/24 !!!! service writer Amy was useless , doesn't return calls, doesn't do updates on the repair status ! after 3 days I sent an E mail to see what is the status of the repair She response via E mail "copy of her e mail below "" ""Technician was unable to duplicate the blue smoke concern during the inspection. For the oil consumption, he started with a visual inspection, and found no signs of leaks. After performing a short test, he performed an oil quantity test and found 1.6 liters low. The engine oil level was topped off at this time. The vehicle needs to be driven a 1,000 miles and brought back in for further testing. If the low level low light turns on before you drive 1,000 miles please call me so I can schedule an appointment." #1 I asked her to find out what kind of SHORT TEST HER TECHDID on the oil consumption issue , NO RESPONSE !! #2 xxx is oil quality test ? polite way of saying the lube tech topped off the oil ? And if you read her E mail states come back after 1000 miles later , every time I took the car in for oil consumption issue AND PACIFIC BMW solution to my oil consumption is "" come back after 1000 miles we top off the oil and you come back 1000 later repeat" . like I really have time to drop the car off wait 3 day for them to top off the oil and blow smoke up my xxx. #2 she doesn't answer her phone calls like if there is an issue with the car she will pick up and phone and answer it . #3 I believe the tech that worked on my car was nothing but a lube tech / oil change tech. It seams he doesn't know the difference of oil consumption and oil leak. Just an FYI for the readers there, is an actual test to see why your car is consuming oil . Next visit I will be asking to meet with a the service manager ( I don't think he will be any help ) and factory rep to solve this issue since the techs at Pacific BMW don't know the difference and how to test for an engine for oil consumption issue. ************************************************************ Dropped the car off for oil consumption issues on 02/01/2022 ( which it shouldn't be low on brand new car with 5000 miles on odometer, 4 quarts at 5000?? miles, which 2 of those 2 quarts I put it in ) ,it was inspected by service , service changed the oil .was told to bring it back after 1000 miles for re inspection, was told re inspection after 1000 miles wouldn't take long, I can wait for the car. .After 1000 miles of driving , made an appointment to get the oil level re inspected by service department , and mentioned it to the girl ,that was making the appointment that I will be waiting for the car while revisiting. Service kept the car for 2 days (with out issuing an loaner) called service the next day 02/02/22 for status on the car was told by service writer it will be ready the following day 02 03 22 around 12 noon. He will call me when its ready , called again following day at 12 noon to get an status ,"was told it should be ready by 6.00 PM. When asked service writer if any thing was discovered during the re visit , was told valve cover gasket was leaking. My question to service department or the tech that worked on the car is .... If a valve cover was leaking that bad, that made the oil level go down to minimum level , where information center in the car warns that your oil level is down to min level, shouldn't your technician discover the leaky valve cover the first time, when he was inspecting the car when it was inspected on 02/02/22 ???? More
