I came in for the first 10,000-mile service on my VW Tiguan. After a few hours, the dealership returned my vehicle. As soon as I started it, I saw a red warning message about the oil level. I immedia Tiguan. After a few hours, the dealership returned my vehicle. As soon as I started it, I saw a red warning message about the oil level. I immediately mentioned it to the mechanic, and I was told not to worry and that I just needed to drive a few miles for the warning to go away. Fortunately, I wasn’t planning to drive anywhere. I stayed in the parking lot and waited for the engine to warm up so I could check the oil level through the vehicle’s computer system (this model does not have a traditional dipstick). After about 10 minutes, the system reported that there was essentially no oil in the engine. Only one bar was showing on the oil level display. I went back to the service department and discovered that after more than two hours of service, they had failed to properly refill the oil in my vehicle. Even worse, they told me it was safe to drive. Can you imagine what could have happened if I had trusted that advice and driven away? This experience seriously damaged my trust in the quality of the service. My advice: always double-check the work yourself, even after routine maintenance. Unfortunately, you may be surprised by what you find. To be fair, I do not blame my service advisor and point out that my service advisor was excellent throughout the entire process. She was super friendly, professional, and very helpful in all of my conversations with her. I do not blame her for what happened. Service advisors cannot personally verify every step performed by a technician. My concern is with the quality control process and the work that was performed on the vehicle. What makes this even more disappointing is that this is my second VW. Experiences like this make me think twice about purchasing another Volkswagen in the future. More broadly, I have become concerned about the quality of dealership service in general. Over the years, I have used Volkswagen service departments in Serramonte, Oakland, and San Francisco, and I have repeatedly encountered issues that have left me questioning the consistency and quality of the service being provided. This experience significantly reduced my confidence in the service department. My recommendation is to always double-check any maintenance work before leaving, especially something as important as an oil service. More

Manny and the entire crew at Volkswagen Marin were incredible! I didn’t plan on leaving with a car that day. However they reiterated how much they valued us as loyal customers and were willing to crea incredible! I didn’t plan on leaving with a car that day. However they reiterated how much they valued us as loyal customers and were willing to create the best deal possible! So I was able to trade in my 2019 Atlas and purchase a brand new 2026 Atlas. I highly recommend purchasing your next Volkswagen or Audi through them and make sure to get a coffee and snack from the Barista. It’s a next level experience! More
