Mac Haik Chevrolet Houston delivered one of the worst car-buying experiences I’ve ever had. Alex, the salesperson, misinformed me about key vehicle features and rushed me through the process without answering my questions clearly. The buyer’s order was incorrect, and the emissions were never completed, which has caused ongoing registration issues—I still haven’t received my permanent tags. Daniel, the finance manager, was dismissive and pushed paperwork through without proper explanation. Gia, the clerk, mishandled documents, creating more delays. I tried escalating my concerns to Wayne, the sales manager, but he failed to resolve any of the issues and showed no sense of urgency or accountability. On top of that, I later discovered the vehicle lacked features I was told it had, and no one took responsibility for the miscommunication. I was left feeling ignored, misled, and completely unsupported after the sale. This dealership is unprofessional, disorganized, and lacks basic customer care. I would not recommend Mac Haik Chevrolet to anyone—avoid this place if you want a smooth, honest, and respectful car-buying experience. More

From start to finish, this has been one of the most frustrating car-buying experiences I’ve ever had. Here’s some background: In July 2024, my lease was ending and the AC in my car went out. I was eager to move on and saw a 2016 Honda Civic with under 30,000 miles listed on Mac Haik’s website. Perfect—I knew I was going to buy it, no test drive needed. Unfortunately, the sales rep I was assigned to, Alex Ozomma, clearly wasn’t interested in moving the deal forward. It was nearly impossible to get him on the phone. We dragged out the process for three days before I was finally able to come in to purchase the car on July 19th. Problem #1: When I arrived, the quote Alex gave me was $600 higher than we had discussed. Instead of correcting it, he claimed it was always that price and told me to prove otherwise. So I searched our text messages, found the original quote, and showed it to him. Still no apology—he just angrily got a corrected version. That new quote also included a $600 charge for window tint. I didn’t mind paying for it upfront since I prefer tinted windows anyway. During the contract signing, I was offered a $2,666 optional service contract for windshield and tire coverage. The Finance Manager strongly encouraged it, promising it was fully refundable after expiration. I added it, trusting their word. After that, I was given a rental while they installed accessories on my car. The rental had a dark tint—great! I thought it was finally over and I could move on. But when Alex called to say the car was ready, I asked about the tint. I hadn’t been asked about the shade, so I assumed there was a standard option. He told me there was no tint at all because it wasn’t in the contract. Instead, they installed a LoJack device—something we never even discussed. We had a short, polite argument before he interrupted me and said, “Check your contract because I already know what’s in it.” I rushed home, pulled up the contract, and sure enough—tint was listed. I circled it and sent it to him. No apology, no acknowledgment—he just moved on and told me when I could pick up the car. When I got it, the vehicle wasn’t even detailed and smelled musty.
