Everett Chevrolet Buick GMC of Morganton The Hickory office is adequate, but its collision and body shop repair center is subpar. In contrast, the Morganton location is exceptional. I primarily interact with Alex in the service department, and he is outstanding. He is always busy because he is the best and consistently delivers excellent results. For instance, when I dropped off my car this morning, he called me in advance to ensure I would have a loaner vehicle if mine was not ready by evening. He is truly impressive. The service manager is excellent as well—I forget his name, but he is always present and attentive to customers. Without this service department, I likely would not remain with this dealership. Do not get me wrong: Neil, the sales associate with whom I have handled my past two car purchases, is fantastic. However, post-sale, it is the maintenance and service teams I deal with most. The maintenance department is very friendly. The staff who schedule appointments over the phone are always courteous and polite. Even when I do not work with Alex—which is rare—the other service personnel step up, remaining kind, polite, and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about them. This dealership earns five stars for service and maintenance.

The rear hatch on my SRX wouldn’t open any more. I took it to a Cadillac dealership who advised me that the issue was un-fixable as the necessary part was no longer available. In desperation, I called Randy Marion Cadillac for a second opinion. The receptionist connected me with Danny who knew what my problem was even before I had the chance to tell him I already knew. They fixed the problem with a brand new part and cleaned my car so well, my wife yelled at me for buying new rims. Danny was personable, knowledgable and responsive. Since he was able to save me some money from the original quote (one of the parts turned out to be unnecessary), he offered to also repair another issue (strong salesman’s skills). I couldn’t be happier. Kudos to senior management for running a tight ship, Danny my advisor and to the mechanics. Nice job !

Overall, the experience was positive. I’ve purchased two vehicles from Parks Chevrolet-Charlotte within the past 5 years. The only issues that I’m having is that I’ve never received a copy of the sales documents and I’m still waiting on my second key fob to be delivered.

Purchased a 2024 gmc canyon 9-5-25 and was told it would be ready next day (Saturday) I went Monday it was not ready and they did not attempt to inform me. 30 minutes drive one way wasted. Vehicle was finally delivered 10-20-25!!!! Warranty for vehicle was finally put in place Late December. All through this all communication was initiated by me. This is by far the worse dealership I have worked with in the past 50 years! Beware, they promise but do not deliver, they do not know their business from manager to sales person to finance person.

We drove over 3 hrs all the while in contact corresponding with Bryan Schmeltzer made arrangements for this evening and stayed in correspondence with him during the trip. We get there and a salesman gets the keys and shows us the car, lets us check it all out and we were about to take it for a test drive, got my handicap wheelchair bound brother out to test it with us and was about to sit him in the car and then the salesman tells us “sorry it’s sold” 😡😡😡😡. Really??? Knew we were coming and driving all that way, let us get a handicap person out and to get in and then suddenly now you tell us it’s sold???? How about some common curiosity, yall knew we were coming, yall let us look it all over, yall saw us getting a handicap person out of our vehicle and about to get into the other and then you decide “ oh it’s sold”! Why sell when you knew someone was coming from a long ways away???? This was so unprofessional, inconsiderate, and on top of that completely unfair to put a handicapped individual through all of that. Shame on all of you!!!! Beyond disappointed and disgusted

Skip this dealership and go elsewhere in Asheville/Morganton/Rutherfordton/Burnsville areas. As an out of state customer, I was interested in a cash $75k+ purchase because the truck I wanted was in their inventory. The salesman was irritated that I had not read an email he sent with the final numbers on the evening that he emailed them to me. I told him that I reviewed them the next morning and had a couple of questions. I asked Mr. McNeely two questions about the accessories on the truck and whether the delivery fee could be waived. He immediately said, "you are just making this too hard and we either get this done today or we're going to have to move on." This was literally within three days of my first contact with the Sales Manager and my second conversation with McNeely. I was, and continue to be, dumbfounded. Business must be great for this dealership to treat a new customer this way that would have probably closed on the deal the next day and picked it up in the next few days (since they wouldn't waive the delivery fee). I live 200 miles away and work full time and have a family...not an unreasonable request. After thinking through it, my guess is another customer drove onto the lot and wanted the vehicle. Proves these folks (Sales and Management) have no integrity and are simply lazy. Please go elsewhere. Who knows what these people with no character will do to the next unsuspecting customer....just honest feedback folks!

This was by far our Best Buying Experience. This dealership not only had a family atmosphere but everyone was courteous, helpful and friendly. Our sales person, Katie Reid, was a breath of fresh air. All the work that Mack Brown did on my car wound up having workmanship problems, which were in some cases documented by other dealers and mechanics. The first work I had them do was replace the fuel pump. They replaced the fuel pump and supposedly cleaned out the gas tank as I instructed them. We kept having strange problems with the car cutting out as if losing fuel. We took it back several times but could not get them to fix it. The last time we took it up it sat for a month. When I called for a status he indicated that he had not had time to work on it. I left it there so he would have more time, and after two months they called me up asking what I wanted them to do with the car, to which I replied “Fix the car.” We went up to find the tires flat and the battery dead in the parking lot – these people did not look at this car for three months! I finally had someone else work on it and they took the gas tank off and found it full of rust and dirt and it was clogging the fuel pump filter. Apparently the service people did not clean out the fuel tank when they replaced the pump. We replaced the tank and fuel pump and the car runs fine. In another case I had them replace the transmission. I took the car to another dealer to see why the car shifted funny and they found that Mack Brown had installed the wrong screws in the transmission case and had stripped the metal holes in the case. They had also left off a bracket that helps hold the transmission in place. I paid for it to be fixed and never was compensated by Mack Brown.
