Refused to do an oil change on my car, because "the owner has blacklisted me due to a negative review I left them back in 2016". The bad review was because I waited 2+ hours for an oil change and bulb replacement, and they put the wrong oil in my car and completely neglected to change the light bulb. So, it was a well deserved bad review. I originally did not recall the incident from almost 9 years ago, and could not even find the review, but I guess I'll leave a new/updated one based on my experience today. I would suggest putting the right oil in cars to possibly prevent negative reviews Not sure if a justified bad review is a good reason for blacklisting someone who has spent close to $100K there, and purchased two new Subaru's from Goldstein, but obviously will not be a third. Also they pay people $25 to write good google reviews, so good reviews equals $25, bad reviews, because they put the wrong oil in your car equals being black listed from the dealership in perpetuity. Finally, don't let them pull that fake invoice trick on you are considering buying a vehicle from them. It's an old sales trick. Do your own research!

Avoid this place at all costs. I had the misfortune of visiting Mid-Hudson Subaru, and it has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I’m no stranger to dealerships, but this place takes the cake for the most unprofessional, deceitful, and frustrating experience I’ve ever had. First off, the service manager, Clay, is beyond rude and completely unhelpful. From the moment I stepped into the service department, he gave off an air of superiority and acted like I was an inconvenience. I tried to explain my concerns about my vehicle, and instead of listening, he interrupted me and barely acknowledged what I was saying. His condescending attitude was not only disrespectful but downright obnoxious. He clearly has no understanding of customer service and makes you feel like you're bothering him just by being there. To top it all off, I paid nearly $4,000 for repairs that, in hindsight, didn’t even address the issues I brought my car in for. Fast forward to a few months later when I took my car to another Subaru dealership for a routine state inspection. Surprise, surprise—my car failed due to a severely rusted-out subframe with visible holes, which Clay and his team never disclosed. This was an issue that was right in front of their faces during my initial evaluation, and they either missed it or chose to ignore it. Even worse, the repairs they did perform started failing almost immediately. When I contacted Clay and the dealership about this, I was met with zero accountability. I requested a refund for the shoddy work done, but they flat out refused to help, leaving me stranded with a car that’s still unsafe and thousands of dollars lighter. To make matters worse, Subaru corporate hasn’t stepped in to resolve this either, and after months of trying to get some sort of resolution, I’ve been completely ignored. This place is a scam, and their customer service is a joke. Clay should not be in any position of authority, and the dealership should be ashamed of their actions. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from Mid-Hudson Subaru. I wouldn’t trust them to fix a flat tire, let alone anything important on my vehicle.

These guys are the best. They went above and beyond in every way to make our experience wonderful. 1. Staff came to ithaca from big flats to restart and drive our non-starting trade-in car, at no charge. 2. Gave preliminary appraisal for 2 trade-in cars from photos so we could decide about what deal was best for us. That was so helpful! 3. Had the new car we wanted so no ordering and waiting was necessary. 4. Sweetened the trade-in deal to make sure we were happy. 5. Positive and friendly attitude from every single person we met. 6. Seamless coordination between 2 different brand offices (subaru and honda) and service center for trade-in to make the deal very easy for us. 7. Extremely respectful of my husband, who has cognitive difficulties. In short, it was actually a delightful experience. Every problem evaporated under the salesman's cheerful stewardship. We are very happy customers.

When it arrived and I went to pick it up, I was treated like I was the only one there and their most important customer. This is the second Subaru I bought, first was a Crosstrek which is a great car that Gerry searched and found for me, from Gregoris and I recommend Subaru’s and Gregoris to anyone in the market for a new or used car. I’ve been bringing my Outback to this dealer since it was new. Jamie Nussbaum has gone above and beyond insuring that my appointment is expeditiously processed along with a thorough inspection. His focus and attention to detail gives me the confidence that my vehicle is in its best operation range. I appreciate and I’m most grateful to have Jamie Nussbaum’s full support. I have one suggestion for East Hills Subaru. I would highly recommend a new protocol for all sales. I would have potential customers be introduced to Jamie Nussbaum. Erica, my sales agent, was friendly, patient and attentive. My kids actually loved the vehicle. Oh, and I believe I paid a fair price. Otherwise, I am fairly disgusted with Benedict. I live 40 minutes away, and Gordon didn't bother to really check on the vehicles I called about. It was two hours between our phone conversation and my appointment, and when I arrived he told me one of the vehicles actually sold the night before. I return the next day thinking I am going to complete a purchase with Erica only to discover a bank transfer (on my end) hadn't gone through. Again, 40 minute drive over, I didn't know what to do. I am discussing financing and personal options with Erica when Paul appears. He introduces himself as the sales manager, and he tells me to call if I have any questions, literally dismissing me from the dealership. Banking all settled, I return again the next day, and this time it's the warranty lady who merely grunts an "Ok" and walks away when I decline purchasing a warranty. No "Have a nice day," no "Are you sure?" Just nothing. Erica and I finalize my sale, and Erica walks me out to my new car. Paul, who is across the room, never acknowledges my existence. He doesn't approach me, he doesn't thank me for my business. He cared enough to kick me out when he thought I didn't have any money, but can't lower himself to shake my hand and appreciate that I came back and gave them my business. As for the vehicle itself, it hadn't been gone through, touched, detailed since before quarantine. The only thing they did between my test drive and purchase was clean off a bird dropping. The fluids weren't topped off, and the gas tank was at half. There are even a couple specks of paint chipped on the hood (most dealers would have touched that up). It's a 2019 so everything's relatively good, anyway, but the old-school buying a vehicle (even used) and feeling like you came straight out of the factory is apparently not a thing anymore, at least not with this dealership.

I bought my 2024 Subaru Impreza in July and recently hit 6K miles, prompting me to seek my first oil change, tire rotation, and a safety recall fix. After checking with various local Subaru dealerships, including Goldstein, Mackey, North Country, and finally Capitaland, I chose Capitaland due to a friendly and competitive service from Barry. I scheduled, dropped off the car, promised a 1.5-hour service and received a prompt call for pickup. Upon returning, I found the car ready but was disappointed to discover grease/oil stains on the driver's seat, oil/grease/dirt and scuff marks on the door sill, oil/grease/dirt on my new Weather Tech floor liner, and fingerprints on the windshield where the service reminder sticker was placed. Despite always keeping my car well-maintained, I had to address these issues with Darrel and Tony from the service desk. Although the problems were promptly resolved and I received an apology, the experience left me disappointed and frustrated. Vehicles are very expensive and when we place them into the hands of a dealership, a certain level of trust is granted. We customers expect that our investment will be respected and cared for with the utmost attention to detail. To add insult to injury. This morning, I noted oil/grease residue on the beige headliner of the driver side grab bar area and so I got to spend an hour of fun on my day off, cleaning up the grease. The service department is the heart of a dealership; the brand as a whole. Service is an opportunity for dealerships to highlight their strengths, technical skills/knowledge, attention to detail and respect for the product and their customers. Such experiences do have a negative impact on future purchasing decisions and it's unacceptable for people to spend money and have their vehicle disrespected. - Reusable/Washable Seat covers? - Paper floor liners? - Watch for placement of boots and hands? Is anyone in the service department performing a once over of a customer's vehicle to ensure everything is acceptable before the customer signs paperwork, pays for service and drives off? Overall, this was not a good experience and I'm hopeful this service department can do better in the future. If so, I will update my review to reflect the experience.

He made my lease return and new lease so easy and hassle free. He is extremely knowledgeable with his products and features. I bought a 2014 new Subaru. Salesman told me they don't negotiate price but that they would take great care of us (as in exceptional service.). I wanted to buy local and have good service so I paid the sticker price. I took the Subaru in for a $70.00 oil change and waited 2 1/2 hours! If I hadn't gone to the "service" counter I'd still be there waiting. Why would I want to recommend a business that just does not care about building relationships with customers from their community?
