They lied when making financial agreements with me and repo'd my car, during the Covid Pandemic when I've faithfully paid every payment over (2) years and only owed $732 to completely pay the car off. They then tried to shake me down for 70% more of what they pay off amount was and told me that if I didn't pay within 10 days, they'd Auction my car... despite previously agreeing to allow me tp pay it off when I got back in town, in 6 days. They denied the individual who came in to make a good faith payment access to the account and literally towed my car the same day, despite HAVING FULL KNOWLEDGE that I was a truck driver and would not be able to come in person to make the final payoff payment, until 6 days later, when I was back home, off the road! They will make fake arrangement, lie about what you need and then try to shake you down for more money! I will also be filing suit against them as well www.BBB.org BBB case number is 15385599! Beware!!! Stay away from this business!!! I bought an 18' Mitsubishi box truck from Rocky and Randy 6 months ago for 30k for my new business. I'm ashamed to say but they pulled the ultimate scam on me. They welcomed me with big open arms and smooth talk such as, we are a small dealership and sell trucks only in great condition. If you ever need a repair we will always be here, etc. I felt like I am doing business with good honest people an I took my guard down and trusted them. It was a huge mistake. They took two weeks to prepare the truck I bought. Only 1 week after I received the truck the truck broke down on the freeway with engine damage. The truck was in the shop for over 3 weeks and I had to rent a truck for most of this time. When I got the truck back it only lasted 2 more weeks before the truck broke down again with another mechanical issue. It was at the shop for another month and a half. Since then the truck was in the shop 2 more times for over a month each time. This included changing the lift gate motor for almost 2k just to find out they tried to scam me on this too by replacing a 4500 lb motor with a motor that couldn't lift a 1000 lb pallet. The last assessment I got from another shop about a week ago is that the truck is in need of immediate mechanical repairs of over 25k, and that the mileage on the truck is not correct and has been tampered with. They said that I am better off selling the truck for anything I can get for it because it will keep falling apart. I asked and even begged Randy many times from the beginning to please just take the truck back and give the rest of the money of the loan back to the finance company. The damage those guys did to me and my business is way bigger than the over 10k I spent on renting trucks and fixing this truck. Randy kept ignoring my calls, requests, and texts.

Bad Experience! - RGV Customer

Do NOT do business with this dealership!! This dealership has be the most unprofessional, unethical, shady place in the valley. First of all, the salesmen are uneducated and incompetent. The finance department is crooked and lie to financing banks about household income and employment to get customers approved, no matter how poor their credit score is, or how high the customers interest rate will end up at, at the end of the deal. To make a long story short, my elderly parents went by the dealership as many of our parents do, to "window shop" knowing that they probably should not and could not qualify for a auto loan due to credit and being on a fixed income. The salesman lured them in, along with the finance manager.... ran their credit, got them into a large, used, overpriced vehicle approval with an 18% interest rate. They were going to end up paying double what the vehicle sale price was at the of the 6yr. agreement. We took the vehicle back, cancelled the contract with the bank, and just to have the fiance manager try to persuade my parents into another over priced vehicle. When they refused to take any vehicle from that dealership, he pretty much insinuated that my parents only got approved the first time because he had a "good relationship" with the bank that approved them?? What was funny, was that my mother later showed me a paper where the finance manager himself, wrote false income on a paper, and ask her to tell the bank that that was her income when they would contact her via phone, although it was not. This is elderly exploitation! There are many other ethical and honest places to buy from, DO NOT GO TO ED PAYNE, you will regret it!!!

Dealership closed before their listed hours - no sales officers or office staff there, just kids washing cars and putting them back on the lot. Office staff never answers the phone, and took a full two weeks to call back when we left a message. The advertised vehicle was there, but had minor but extensive body damage not mentioned on the ad, and pieces falling off inside the passenger compartment. Complete waste of our time.

I couldn't believe the extremely impersonal experience I received from Mr. Barrera. He made it quite clear he was only interested in making money. I did buy a car, but immediately regretted my decision. I was only given one key, the reason being that he would lose money if he were to give me two. He also promised to fix several issues with the car before I purchased it. He did not. I returned the car 3 times to get the problems fixed that he had promised. He ultimately told me that I should get the problem fixed myself. He was rude and treated me like I was an irritation as soon as I signed the paper work for the car. I can't believe he has a job.

Sold a Car with Brake Problems - Scott A.

My son bought a car from Irving. Found out two days later, after taking the car to my mechanic, that the rear brake system and parking brake were not working at all...completely unsafe. But to get license plates for the car, the dealer had to take the car to get a state safety inspection and one of the items checked in the inspection is the parking brake. So the dealer sold my son an unsafe car due to a improper safety inspection done by a third party (not the dealer). I worked through Rocky (our salesman) and Eli (the finance manager) to reach a fair settlement for the brake repair to make the car safe, which I am very happy about. I give them credit for doing the right thing, even when they could have refused because the car was sold "as is".

This is a small group of friends that buy and sell quality cars as a hobby. There were no high pressure sales tactics used. I simply took the car for a drive, made an offer, John gave a counter offer and it was done. The facility was tricky to find because they do not have a traditional car lot. Overall the experience was pleasant and I would definitely buy from them again.
