I am absolutely disappointed with this company. The employees, and I mean ALL of them (maybe that is company policy) are all very nice and will cater to you to get you to buy a vehicle. They make all kinds of promises and can't re-assure the customer enough times how they stand behind their policy of selling vehicle working to the customer's satisfaction. When buying a used vehicle it only makes sense that something was wrong with it when previous owner got rid of it, but, this company guarantees that they will repair whatever is wrong with it when you buy it. THEY LIE. My mom, who is 86 years old and lives on social security bought a van so she could carry her scooter where ever she went. From the start the key remote did not work so the alarm system would not activate. She told them numerous times about the problem and they kept telling her they would get to it. On a trip to Houston, someone broke in to the van, damaged the ignition trying to "hot wire" the van but were unsuccessful and didn't steal it. The alarm did not go off - because the company didn't keep their word. The van had to stay in Houston then they wanted us to pay labor, parts, and towing. Their reasoning was that "if someone was going to steal the van it would happen with or without an alarm. HOW STUPID IS THAT? Now they're sending letters that they plan to auction the vehicle, apply sales amount to account and hold me and mom responsible for any money owed. I did not buy the vehicle. From day one I should have known how dishonest they are because my mom's income is not sufficient to purchase a vehicle so the salesman said he could include my income with her account. We specifically told him it was to be in her name but if using my income helped her, go ahead and use it. Now, they say it is my responsibility. I know ignorance not justify my action and in all likelihood It will be responsibility too, but my point is how they will lie, cheat, and make promises to get your money with no regard to the reality that people buy used vehicles because we can't afford brand new. Stealing from an old lady this way is unforgivable. People, especially those of you who are very trusting, like me and my mom, remember that this company is not to be trusted. don't give them any money until they have fixed everything that is wrong with the vehicle first and don't believe them when they say they will "doctor" documents in order for your application to pass. Believe me it comes back at you and they sit back and laugh "another one bites the dust"

We bought a 2011 VW Jetta here in January of 2017. Within a week, the check engine light was coming on, intermittently. We also noticed an oil spot in the driveway that over the next couple of months got worse and worse. The A/C also has almost stopped working, altogether. We took the car to a service provider in Roanoke and they found multiple issues, right away. The oil pan drain plug had only been finger-tightened. This is where the bulk of the oil was coming from. However, they also found another leak stemming from a bad vacuum pump. They found that there was a tear in the front driver's side CV boot. We have a warranty with a $250 deductible but, after all of this, it was obvious that these were issues that were overlooked by the dealership and the mechanic even told us as much. My wife called and spoke with someone in the service department at Truck World/Southwest Kia that agreed that we should not have to pay to have these issues taken care of. So my wife made the long drive to the dealership the next day (today) to get things taken care of, based on this conversation. She was immediately approached with attitude and told that the warranty would have to be used. Despite what the service dept. told us, they simply refused to own up to their short-comings and did not seemed concerned, at all, with providing even decent customer service. They even found a pork rib bone under the engine covers during their diagnosis! They were (allegedly) the last ones that gained access under these covers during inspection before sale. Now we are cornered into coming up with a $250 deductible and over $400 for parts and labor to repair everything not covered by the warranty (A/C is not included in this price). If this was all happening after driving the car 6 months or after considerable mileage, I would not be writing this. All they needed to do was 'the right thing' by their customers. Buyer beware! They obviously have no issue selling a lemon and then turning the other way. Very disappointed and would not recommend Truck World or Southwest Kia to anyone!

The dealers were nice enough, but not completely honest. I called ahead about the availability of a car and we scheduled a test drive. However when on the test drive, the car started to make a loud vibrating sound. AJ said that it was not a problem and that sometimes the engine block isn't completely secure. I then noticed that there was a massive split on the steering wheel. I pointed it out to AJ and he laughed it off saying maybe someone hit the horn too hard.

I went to this dealer because they mailed us this lotto like scratch card. So I scratched it and it said I won a $1000 Online Shopping spree. Oh I won it but the jokers (the guy I dealt with didn't think it was important enough to tell me his name!!) that work there wanted to show me some kind of car before they gave me the stupid thing. So I was kind of interested in a Nissan Frontier so I asked if they had one of those and the guy said yes we do but told me that the keys were not on the lot with the truck (The sale they were having was in three locations)., And tried to show me only trucks with keys on the lot with them. Who in the right mind would not keep the keys on the lot with the vehicles?). So I found this Ford Ranger (which I do not like at all)., And asked how much it was, and the guy said "name your price". This may sound good but he said it was a repo and that he would have to look at what the payoff was on it. That's not naming your price. I assume that secretly that if you made an offer and it was not the amount of payoff that they would secretly add however much to the price that was needed to pay it off. And then I said if you don't show me the Frontier right now then I'm leaving.,He completely ignored me and said and here we have this Suzuki Verona (which is not even a truck). And I could tell that it just came out of Hurricane Katrina because it had rust all over the underside of it. And the shopping spree was completely bogus because it will pay for the purchase of the item but you have to use a credit card to pay for shipping and handling. I now will never recommend anyone to this crappy old deteriorating place.

We are new to area and needed another car. Last one we bought was not that great so we were weary of getting another one in an unknown area. We came across Harper House Auto and took a chance. From the beginning Shane gave us as much info as possible and we felt comfortable dealing with him. When we looked at vehicle he let us know everything about it and that they carefully select the vehicles they buy. It has been over a month now and no issues with the vehicle. Sold us a complete lemon a 2013 Dodge Caravan with a blown motor no air conditioner we paid cash 5000.00 bought it when it was freezing this past winter when we had snow for seven or eight days in February I was told it had Ice Cold Air got it after we went and purchased it took it out on i-27 and all the lights on the dash came on it is just been a complete nightmare they did replace the thermostat on here but that's all. I have called numerous times to try to get someone to help us and with no response we have had to spend close to $2,000 to get the vehicle up and running on the road has it should be I would never recommend this place to anyone the salesman's name was Dakota on Avenue Q.

Brook Hall from Hertz Car Sales, Gulf Frwy location, apologized for our atrocious experience at their Katy location and worked, over the next day, to try to locate another car for us. Although I had no plans to ever do business with Hertz Car sales again & was quite hesitant, Brook was persistant, professional and diligently worked, along with his management staff, to find my son a car just like the original Sonic we had begun our search for at the Katy Frwy location. The difference between the people we dealt with at the Katy location and those at the Gulf Freeway location were like night and day. Brook & his team at the Gulf Frwy location treated us with consideration and respect, accepted the responsibility of mistakes made (not by them, but by Hertz Car Sales, Katy) and ultimately earned our businesss! We found the Finance & General Managers, Kevin Baker and Brian Gonzales to also be straight forward, courteous and knowledgeable. My 21 year old son, learned quite a bit about car sales through this experience. We absolutely appreciate the direct, no gimmick car buying experience we had with you. Because of your actions, my son left your store, walked to his first ever, new car and commented that he respected how you worked hard to do the right thing and said, “I’d do business with them again if I need a car.” My sentiments exactly!

Mcginnis used cars has always been more than a auto dealer they have been friends. They have done repairs for me when I wash short of money. They always made allowance's to help me and my family. You know when times are hard it is difficult to be perfect both as a consumer or a car dealer. Larry has always bent over backwards to help me (he is the manager) and Joan is the finance manager. They are both reasonable people and I can not express may regard for their friend ship and guidance which they have given me and my family Thur the years. I find it disturbing to read the problems that appear on this site. Very friendly and knowledge staff. They listened, asked questions and offered advice. They did not try to hard sell. I am a knowledgeable buyer and trying to plan my next purchase. I have had both air and water cooled cars so nothing is new to me. As far as the purchase of a used vehicle I need advice regarding reliability and risk. Any doubts or trepidation I had prior to the call were erased once the call was over. This is an end of summer, early fall transaction so I have time. As soon as I am ready, they will be my first, and most likely, only call. I only wish they were closer to the Northeast.

Early in 2023, I made a custom order from Stanley Automotive Enterprises for a 2023 Ford F-150. Being a custom order made from out-of-state, I was impressed with how seamless the process was. Everyone I talked to from Stanley, from the time of the order to delivery, was helpful and knowledgeable. Originally, the order was expected to take up to one year, but it ended up being delivered within 6 months. There was no damage to the vehicle despite it being a cross-country trip. I’m impressed with the professionalism of Stanley Automotive Enterprises and would recommend them to anyone who is interested in a new vehicle purchase.
