I was in from out of town and called last minute for an oil change and was able to get in within a half hour. Oil change was complete in less time than expected. The lady at the service counter was very helpful and friendly. I have been very happy with their service and in fact I use this dealership rather than the one close to my home because I am so much happier with the service at Tonkin.

These 5 Stars are for the vehicle purchased and James in Sales. Logistics prevented me from buying the coolest car ever in person. Delivered 10 days ago in an enclosed trailer. Long distance purchases can be stressful but James, as fine a Sales Rep as I've ever dealt with and a pleasure to talk to, saw me through and the car is phenominal. Chad Cannon PATIENTLY worked with me for several hours! What a breath of fresh air! He was highly-professional, super-polite and respectful, amazingly knowledgeable (having been in the business 15 years), and had the ability to explain things well. But just as importantly, he was always CALM, relatively QUIET, and DIDN'T TALK TOO MUCH!!! This gave me opportunity to think, ask innumerable questions about the product, and then think some more. I sensed that Chad sincerely wanted to be HELPFUL, regardless if a sale ultimately occurred. New cars (with multiple safety features) are quite complex, so, after-sale follow through is more important than ever. Three days after my purchase, I returned to the dealership specifically to allow Chad to methodically teach me how to use some of my car's impressive technology. When it comes to adopting unfamiliar technology, I learn best through multiple short lessons instead of a single marathon session.

They also worked well with the insurance staff in spite of the weather and parts delivery issues. I am a first time claim party and appreciated being treated as experienced with respect. a bad day, when all I wanted was an oil change. Bought a car there that was basically new, had numerous electronic issues. One was sound would randomly disappear. Three times they looked at it and tried different things (under warranty of course) ...then the 4th they believe they found issue and then said it would be $200 (they waited until the warranty expired). The tech told me the fee would be waived I'd just pay insurance deductible after part was put in. He went ahead and ordered it (the whole thing felt wrong). Over 2.5 months later part arrived. I never took car in to have this 'supposed part installed as they couldn't guarantee it would fix issue (and its already outside warranty). Recently dropped car off for OIL CHANGE, and 30 minutes later got a call telling me they would not do OIL CHANGE unless I paid $175 for part I never got ... I told him if they were going to charge $175 then don't bother with OIL CHANGE. I felt they were ripping me off for work I never had done, and they waited until after warranty to charge me. I went in to pick up my car and was told I owed the $175. I felt harassed and threatened as they were holding my keys. OIL CHANGE was never done. Tech told me they would charge the $175 and then I'd pay the additional $25 to have part installed when it got there. I struggle with a TBI and comprehension issues from military service. So I agreed. After they charge me, another tech then says oh by the way there may be a restock fee as part had to be returned (ON THEIR PHONE CALLS THEY ALWAYS SAID THEY HAD THE PART THERE)... so he makes some bogus call and makes it sound like he's talking this person into a restocking fee. As I walk out the door he says that fee will be $600 ....

Dishonest. Sent me home with a truck that the wheel bearing was bad. They supposedly do safety inspections, but they did not. A wheal bearing is easy to check and a huge safety issue. A female should never buy from there without a mechanic present to thoroughly check the vehicle. They knew the bearing was bad that’s why they pushed the warranty so much. More money.

Service managers need to be more open with customers having repairs done to their vehicles. If other than new parts are being used then owner should be notified so they can make the decision to use said parts. Also need to be more open with the amount of time repairs will take.

Took my 2020 Silverado to Gary Gruner to have a switch replaced and computer recalibrated after another dealership put oversized tires on the truck and failed to recalibrate the computer. The service manager, Tony Denny said the software that to be downloaded from GM to recalibrate the computer. After about 5 hours, Tony told me it might be awhile and gave me a loaner car and asked me to come back the next day. The download took 24 hours. Tony apologized for the delay and discounted the fee for the recalibration. The switch was replaced and I was on the road. This service is what I expected from a dealership and will continue to give them my business.
