I was having an issue with my 2021 Buick Encore GX. I would receive a Shift to Park error even though my vehicle was in Park. I scheduled an appointment to get my vehicle checked. On 11/24/24, I went to my appointment, I told Ms. Joette the issue I was having. She said it is a known issue in the Buicks. She will have it checked and get back with me. About an hour later she comes out to the waiting area and tells me that the part is not covered under my warranty. I asked why? She said, "it may be the location of the issue, something could've gotten spilled or anything." She said, "it would cost $310 to get it fixed." I was confused and not happy. I went to my Salesperson Big Johnny, who sold me the vehicle, and explained the situation. He immediately said, "that does not sound correct". He got on the phone and contacted the warranty company. He spoke with Yvonne. He asked if the part (the brake assembly) was covered under my warranty. She said, "yes, it is". Big Johnny, got off the phone and went back to the service department and let Ms. Joette know that he spoke with the warranty company. And the part is covered". Ms. Joette, told me she would order the part and let me know when it is in, so I can get the issue fixed. My rating of 4 stars, is due to Big Johnny going above and beyond to get to the root of the issue. If it was not for him, I would've been paying for a part that was already covered under my warranty.
