We took our Subaru outback for an oil change last week. It was a nasty raining day but we had a great time with the Subaru dealer in vestal NY. Chris Mondolfi welcomed us and he was very kind, professional and efficient. The technician also done a great job. This is our first time for the service. Sure we will come back! The dealership is beautifully newly renovated. The waiting room was very comfortable and clean and even has free Starbucks coffee! Their service department is excellent. Marc went above and beyond to help me with everything I needed. My car was done with service quickly and was even detailed it for me!! I will definitely be back to Bay Ridge Subaru!

Overall, I love the people at Brewster Subaru! I’ve had many good experiences there, with Rich (finance) Mitch (sales) Nelson (GM), Patrick (mgr) Danny (service) Jack (service) and many others! They are helpful, and make the car buying experience great… I haven’t had the best luck with my car though. I had purchased a 2016 Crosstrek at Brewster, that I ended up trading in to get a CPO 2020 Legacy, Mag grey VIN 4S3BWAN6XL3027154 on 2/1/22. I have NEVER had so many ongoing issues with any vehicle ever like this, especially one that was 2 years old!!!!! January 2023, it started to give me issues, random not starting, leaving me stranded to wait for roadside assistance, driver focus would constantly alert me to stay alert even when I was seated in a parking lot with the car on, keep my eyes on the road, hands on the steering wheel, if I was heading one direction the speed limit signs would say 35mph, opposite direction 55mph. It spent WEEKS in the shop at Brewster in January, February, March, April and August 2024. I had contacted Subaru corporate in August they were incredibly not helpful told me to contact the NYS Attorney General… At my end, and after 9 weeks of them unable to “duplicate the problem” I was given an opportunity to have the dealer buy back my Legacy. I went and finalized the paperwork on 9/26/24, and this particular vehicle is now for sale in their lot! 🚨Be aware!🚨 The car is 4 years old, not even 90,000 miles on it! I had high hopes that it wouldn’t be resold… I didn’t have buyers remorse after 11 months! That car had everything I wanted in it! Unfortunately, it was VERY UNRELIABLE, my car shouldn’t leave me stranded when I drive into town!

Unfortunately after just 400 miles. The right front strut on my daughters impreza limited was defective. The Cracker jack technician diagnosed the problem and replaced the unit. This staff at Subaru has years of experience behind them. And give you what you would expect at a high end dealership, such as lexus. 5 stars for all involved.

I want to give high marks for a recent service appointment. I had to order the part, and then made the appointment to have it installed. It was a part that had a lifetime warranty I was told, so I was happy with the honesty in which the matter was handled. The service appointment went very smoothly. The service advisor, Charlene Russo, went out of her way to ensure a swift installation and completion of the job. Charlene was fantastic! The other people I spoke to there were also very helpful when I noticed a small issue after the fact, and it was taken care of quickly, and without question! I've always had trouble trusting other dealers' service department, but your service area gets high marks from me. Charlene and the rest of the staff, from parts to installation, were top notch, and will be a big consideration when I'm ready to purchase my next vehicle, and will easily recommend Tasca to others for that same reason Thank you!!!! Terrible service department... Went there to fix my heat after only 17k miles on my new car and my car was giving back to me with nothing fixed... Brought the car back and got a loaner and they had to keep my car for 6 days to fix the issue. When I FINALLY got my car back there were a bunch of scratches on my front bumper and they didnt put the panelling on the inside of my car back all the way!! Not to mention the trash they left in my car... So unprofessional. I talked to the manager about the scratches and he said he will check the cameras and get back to me.. wft dude... I STILL have yet to hear back from them. Thanks for making my car worse than it was when I brought it there..

Avoid this place at all costs. I had the misfortune of visiting Mid-Hudson Subaru, and it has been an absolute nightmare from start to finish. I’m no stranger to dealerships, but this place takes the cake for the most unprofessional, deceitful, and frustrating experience I’ve ever had. First off, the service manager, Clay, is beyond rude and completely unhelpful. From the moment I stepped into the service department, he gave off an air of superiority and acted like I was an inconvenience. I tried to explain my concerns about my vehicle, and instead of listening, he interrupted me and barely acknowledged what I was saying. His condescending attitude was not only disrespectful but downright obnoxious. He clearly has no understanding of customer service and makes you feel like you're bothering him just by being there. To top it all off, I paid nearly $4,000 for repairs that, in hindsight, didn’t even address the issues I brought my car in for. Fast forward to a few months later when I took my car to another Subaru dealership for a routine state inspection. Surprise, surprise—my car failed due to a severely rusted-out subframe with visible holes, which Clay and his team never disclosed. This was an issue that was right in front of their faces during my initial evaluation, and they either missed it or chose to ignore it. Even worse, the repairs they did perform started failing almost immediately. When I contacted Clay and the dealership about this, I was met with zero accountability. I requested a refund for the shoddy work done, but they flat out refused to help, leaving me stranded with a car that’s still unsafe and thousands of dollars lighter. To make matters worse, Subaru corporate hasn’t stepped in to resolve this either, and after months of trying to get some sort of resolution, I’ve been completely ignored. This place is a scam, and their customer service is a joke. Clay should not be in any position of authority, and the dealership should be ashamed of their actions. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from Mid-Hudson Subaru. I wouldn’t trust them to fix a flat tire, let alone anything important on my vehicle.
